Dr. Michael Thompson Groover

I seen Dr Groover last week. He refused to do anything to help my knee pain due to my weight. He said that I would have ro lose 40 to 60 pounds to have surgery as he said he does not do surgery on anyone that has a bmi over 45. He told me I sm bone on bone in the knee and have a torn meniscus and spent like two minutes addressing the real reason that I was there which was my knee. He spent most of visit going over ways I could lose weight. He was pretty rude about it. If they knew he wouldn't do surgery why did they put me thru two visits with his PA, and x-rays and an MRI that cost me $2,000.00 out of pocket? I had my other knee replaced 5 years ago and I am only 5 pounds heavier than that now? I was in tears when I left. I will NEVER go back to him and would not recommend him to anyone. I normally love Ortho but he wad a huge disappointment. No empathy for his patients at all

Everything went perfect. Better than original. I should have done my knee years ago.

Dr. Groover did an exceptional job performing my total hip replacement surgery. The recovery process was much quicker that expected and my incision is healing wonderfully. I would recommend Dr. Groover without question.
