Dr fishel and his staff are absolutely incredible kind understanding and patient in my opinion this is the best place in Las Vegas for pain care I personally recommend them to anyone when I went there I could hardly stand and now I feel much much better thank you again the doctors and staff Greg Lanier

Instead of having spinal surgery, I decided to try an epidural first. I was sent to Michael Fishell. I found him to be an excellent doctor, who listens well. The staff is very good in listening and providing directions. The Epidural injection went very well, but I would not recommend as I did to avoid the mild anesthesia . It can get a bit painful If you have severe stenosis like I have. My experiences with doctors in the Las Vegas area has been terrible, because it takes forever to get a referral, and when you do get an appointment they keep you waiting for hours ,and only spend a few minutes with you. Doctor Fishell has been a refreshing exception to my past experiences. His staff are very helpful, and professional .All of my appointments have been kept in a timely manner, and Doctor Fishell answers all of my questions ,and spends enough time with me to explain my options . It is a great pity that other doctors in the area are not interested in suppling the exceptional service given by Doctor Fishell, and his staff. I’m so shocked! Dr Fischell is amazing - or at least he was. I have a DRG but am having new neurological pain and have been trying to reach the office to schedule an appointment to talk to him about it, as we’d discussed in the past modifying the DRG if the pain wasn’t completely managed in its current position. I finally reached the office after several unreturned messages only to be told that my messages “were reviewed” and the doctor said he could no longer help me. How is that possible???? I have an implanted device that helps with some pain, but the pain has migrated beyond the reach of the current position, and now he can’t, or won’t, help me anymore??? After a good cry, I decided to write this review. As my doctor, if I call to schedule an appointment as we had is discussed over a year ago to do if I was having additional concerns, then I should have an opportunity to talk to my doctor, not be told to go find someone else. I am very shocked and disheartened and, now lost.

Really disappointed because after my third procedure there was no follow up call to see how I was doing and I still do not feel any pain relief. It has been expensive and since the initial appointment I have not been able to have a conversation with Dr Fishell.

A good visit.. good results.. staff very professional and caring.

In 2015 I broke my back in a car accident and while at the trauma center I was also diagnosed with lung cancer in my right lung. When I was referred to Dr. Fishell for my back problem, during my first 1 hour interview he spent 2/3 of the time discussing my cancer. Unlike most doctors he was concerned for my over all health, not just his own area of service. I am happy to say I am now cancer free, but Dr. Fishell handles my continuing back problems and always asks about my other medical problems and assist me when he can. He is definitely one of the most caring doctors in the valley. He also has a great staff to assist him. I think so much of him & his staff, that in my 74 years of life so far, this is the 1st review I have ever written. Amazing care! The Doctor is caring, patient and wonderful! The staff are helpful, very responsive and kind.

Best pain management doctor I’ve been to in many years. Listens well. Explores options and is connected with top surgeons in the area. I’m not a fan of opioids - so we work well together. His office staff are excellent. Finally a doctor you can talk to and not feel like you’re being rushed out to get to the next patient.

I have a very painful degenerative spinal condition affecting my lower back for which surgery and pain killers have not been helpful. About every 12 months though, I get a Radio Frequency Nerve Ablation from Dr. Fishell which does help immensely. The procedure is done in house in the surgery center upstairs from his office. They put me out so I feel no pain during the ablation and I'm usually in and out in a few hours. Dr. Fishell is competent, and so is his very friendly and accommodating staff which is almost never the case in the Vegas area. I have never had a billing problem either. During Covid 19 I really appreciate not having to come out in public for a doctor appointment. I didn’t think I would like the video chat for appointments but I do plus the ease of them electronically sending prescriptions to the pharmacy. Thank you to his staff for their compassion when your not feeling your best.

He is the worst. Incomplete medical records. Agrees to a pyjan of care but doesn't follow it and lies to you

Dr. MICHAEL FISHELL of Advanced PainCare has been my Pain Management Doctor for years, so I am able to offer a pretty thorough review. They’re close-by, behind St. Rose Hospital on Siena Heights Drive. Beautiful 1st floor office — tranquil, contemporary, ultra clean, handicap accessible, ample parking, and they get you in quickly! The staff is AMAZING. A human actually answers the phone, they remember you (you’re not a number), and they are just SO nice! Many of them have been there 5, 10, 15 years — you can tell they love people and they love what they do. They put you at ease and make you feel welcome — a part of the family. On top of that, Dr. Fishell really knows his stuff — he is double Board Certified with over 20 yrs experience. Pompous he is not; but he is kind, compassionate, down to earth, and he even has a sense of humor! He’ll put you right at ease and won’t make you feel stupid for asking questions. I also like that he’s conservative when it comes to prescribing meds. And, if you’re considering a Neurostimulator, he is THE ONE to see. Top Doc in the Southwest region when it comes to Neurostimulation. He even assists with training and research in the field. Although I was sent to Dr. Fishell by my lawyer for a personal injury auto accident case, I know they also accept most insurances. If your insurance isn’t on their list, they’ll either work with you to make the visit affordable or they’ll help find another office that does take your insurance. I have never had ANY other doctor’s office go this extra mile for me. In a nutshell, they are a kind, caring team that provides a positive, healing atmosphere. They’re like family.

I think the scheduling process (meaning that you have no idea what day or time of your procedure until approximately 3pm day before (very difficult to arrange for a ride with that short of notice of day and time... )and then I was told the person would have to stay there until after the procedure, which fortunately didn't turn out to be the case. After the procedure and recovery, they contacted the person who brought me there and everything went smoothly. As far as the care and the procedure and the staff and doctor, and think they are excellent! At this time, two days postop, I have almost no pain. Hope it continues! I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Fishell for well over ten years. I have a very significant physical defect from birth. This birth defect, over the course of many years, has caused very significant and serious physical disability and very significant and serious intractable physical pain. Dr. Fishell is a 5 star doctor. He is very friendly and definitely has your best interest at heart. The entire staff is there for you. Denise is awesome!

I too suffer from chronic lower back pain at L4 and L5 due to degenerative disc disease. I get a Radio Frequency Ablation procedure about yearly from Dr.Fishell that really does the trick. The pain relief is cathartic. I've had them done elsewhere but the amount of pain relief and interval time between procedures is great.

Dr. Fishell is the only doctor I trust in Nevada. He has gone above and beyond to help relieve me of my pain. Him and his staff are professional, competent and through. I would recommend him to anyone suffering with back pain.

He tried to find me an office that would be willing to care for my chronic pain but due to the horrible medical climate in Nevada no one would treat my conditions with the required medications. Offered a couple of [places to check out. At least he called me back!

This dr. Is running an assembly line and could care less about patients. It appears that everyone gets the same roitine. I have had injections in my back before and never required anesthesia for it. But I guess it's faster and easier if a patient can't speak. Time is money, after all. Upon entering the procedure room, i saw him at his desk and he turned around, glanced over at me and completely ignored me. I waited a very long time to even the shot. For various reasons i will not go back.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fishell for over 10 years. I suffer from chronic back pain due to 3 herniated discs (3 back surgeries). I trust him completely and will not go to any other doctor. My insurance dropped Dr. Fishell so I now pay cash; that is how much I trust him as well as his staff!

My mother was referred to this doctor. When calling the office you only can leave a message. After the first message they called back and told her they will call her back when they receive the referral. She made sure it was faxed over and after a week called again. Then her family practitioner called. Still no reply from office. More than 3 weeks and she is in considerable pain from a cracked vertebrate. Common decency means nothing to them.

Dr. Fishell came highly recommended by the neurosurgeon I had seen for my pain-causing problem. It was easy to see why, as he was professional, polite, and remarkably efficient. He took the time to explain everything that was going to be done, and everything happened exactly as he said it would. His staff is competent and accommodating.
