Very professional, patience, empathic and particular about getting all the possible cause of your child's stomach problem. I really recommend this doctor.

Dr Leyva consistently portrays excellent knowledge in areas related to pediatric gastroenterology. She has always taken the time to explain, guide and comfort- These are 3 areas that I have always found to be most important in any doctor. She stands out as a physician that genuinely cares about her field and her patients.

I am in shock reading review from North Caldwell. My daughter has Crohn's disease and we've been dr. Leyva-Vega's patients for many years. Dr. Leyva-Vega was the one of the rare doctors I trusted. Her attention to details saved my daughter from surgery. And the time she spent with us each visit was unprecedented. Unfortunately dr. Melissa is treating only pediatric patients and couple of years ago we had to part with her and find adult GI doctor. Usually I don't write reviews online, but after reading one star opinion posted on this site I just wanted to share experience we had with this fantastic doctor.

DO NOT go to this doctor! She is a complete waste of time, does not respect her patients time and diagnosis wrong. Will not renew medication, because she needs to see you in the office every time- very money minded. We had a HORRIBLE experience and DO NOT recommend her at all.
