Max N Wiznitzer

Hands down a wonderful doctor. Totally knows his stuff and cares about his patients. Responsive, caring and listens.

Dr. Wiznitzer is awesome. We were lucky to find him. He has helped my grandson, who has autism, immeasurably. Thank God we in Cleveland have such a treasure.

I love max Wiznitzer the only dr that listen to my voice as a parent the only one that knows my child and fights for my child! I will never go to another neurologist around! He has a big heart and is so caring about his patience.

If this review can help someone, I hope you see Dr. Wiznitzer. We have found him to be very caring and extremely knowledgeable. He genuinely cares about his patients and families - and it shows. He has been a true blessing.

He interacted with my son while listening to my concerns, my son loves him.

Dr. Wiznitzer was my pediatric neurologist when I was a teen suffering from seizures and now he is my son’s neurologist. He is the best their is. He takes time and listens and explains things to the patient and the parents. He is always available or his amazing nurse is. I wouldn’t go anywhere else or trust anyone else.

He treated my daughter 25 years ago and he was amazing with her!!

Worst doctor ever!!

I was really shocked by his poor bedside manner. He was arrogant and very demeaning to us. It was difficult to have a back and forth conversation with him because he talked so fast and rarely gave us an opportunity to ask questions. I don’t know that our appt actually accomplished anything unfortunately. The office staff however was great. They were very kind to us.

My daughter is 26 now and Dr. Wiz was our pediatric neurologist. He had no bed side manner, Everytime I asked a question he made me look stupid! He missed diagnosed my daughter. I had to go to another Dr. That diagnosed her with Autism. He never let me talk. I knew my daughter had Autism. On another note, my friend's son almost died because of Dr. wiz, he never asked for cat scan.. He had bad migraines, a couple months later my friends sons brain exploded and he is lucky to be alive... The hospital said it was a miracle that he lived, She should of sued him! I was so disappointed in Dr. wiz!! I went to him cause I heard he was one of the best Neurologists in the United States and was on TV, absolutely not true!!!! My son has been served by Dr. Wiznitzer for 24 years. Caleb's life began to turnaround due to Dr. Wizniter's expertise, integral involvement, and true commitment to his patients.

Both my girls have autism. They been seeing him for about 10 yrs. When one of my daughters had a seizure they squeezed me in that week, and often it could take months to get an appt for just a rountine visit. Amazing doctor who saved my sons life DMB

When we feared our son was on the autistic spectum we wanted the smartest and most experienced we could find in Cleveland. Dr. Wiznitzer was regularly recommended by various autism non-profits and trusted friends of ours in the medical field. Sufficed to say, he exceeded our expectations. Dr. Wiznitzer is direct and to the point and had no problem spending more than enough time to walk us through every one of our concerns. Our son is in great hands and we are sleeping much better as a result.

Dr Wiz takes his time explaining medical condition. He will spend as much time as you need with you. He is very knowledgeable about neuro developmental disorders.

He walked in and didn't say hi to us. He sat down and sighed like he didn't want to be there. He talked over me and wouldn't let me answer any of the questions he was asking. It truly was the most one sided conversations I've ever experienced. The appointment lasted maybe 30 minutes, and he charged my insurance $600 for telling me what I already knew. I was disappointed and will be visiting another doctor next time.

By far, one of the WORST bed side manners of any physician or medical practitioner that I have ever encountered. We were originally recommended to see him by a speech and language pathologist that was treating my 2 year old son. He is terribly curt, and demeaning at times. He tends to be flip with his use of language and talks over the patient (in this case, patients' parents) during office visits. Consider another UH doctor, or physician from a different practice. This one is disrespectful!

I just read an older article on Adam Lanza, the Newtown shooter, and I saw references in the article to Dr. Wiznitzer. Looking for information on the doctor, I found this place where I could write a review. Dr. Wiznitzer comes highly acclaimed, and as a pediatric neurologist is one of the people who can give official medical diagnoses for autism. We knew that we might be moving to a new state in the future. Dr. Wiznitzer comes regularly from his Cleveland office to an office in Sandusky. We had hoped that he could put us on a course that would lead to an official medical diagnosis for future reference. We met with Dr. Wiznitzer at a schedule time and date in 2014. He could tell simply by noting our son's behavior that he has autism. Dr. Wiznitzer asked us what we wanted and agreed that he would write a reference that out son certifiably has autism spectrum disorder. We said our goodbyes, and off he went. Sure enough, I was offered a position in another state. I thought this is great that we have this reference already taken care of. It should help us get services in our new location. However, Dr. Wiznitzer never wrote us that reference. In fact, he would not return our calls or e-mails. After several calls to his office, and messages left with an office worker, who was surprised that he never responded, we stopped calling. Look, we know our son has autism. He was diagnosed by two school psychologists, spent three years in SPED preschool, and had an IEP for his first 2 years of regular school. It's not just us who see this and recognize this. We don't have much money, but we moved to a nicer climate and a state that generally does very well with therapeutic and education benefits for ASD children. We really need these benefits. When we did our due diligence and contacted a pediatric neurologist to assist in our son receiving help, we got the shaft. He may be an excellent doctor, researcher, or whatever. However, he did not keep his word. He dodged his responsibilities to return messages. He failed to do good, and due to his refusal to follow through, our son still receives no therapeutic benefits for his condition aside from what is in his IEP. I have given up calling his office some months ago. I thought about writing a letter to the higher ups at University Hospitals, but perhaps this review will get his attention.
