Dr. Matthew Martin Zavarella

Very personable and very friendly. Very efficient periodontist doctor.

I had my first implant 10 years ago and was very satisfied with it. I have since broken 3 other teeth and decided to have them replaced with implants. At my request, he did all 3 at the same time and the procedure was quite a bit painful. Within 2 weeks one of the implants came totally out and the cap came off of another one. I had to wait for the implant site to heal before getting it reset and now my implants are off schedule by 2 months. He made me come back in for another visit to replace the other cap that came off. Another painful visit. He swabs the area with a numbing agent, but doesn't wait for it to take affect and immediately sticks the needle in to numb the site and I can feel all of the needle. He then begins working right away before the numbing agent has a chance to take affect. When I complain about the pain he just gives me another couple of shots. Now, one of the caps that he replaced has come out and that means another trip to him. I can't recommend him.

Dr Zavarella is awesome. My dentist doesn’t do implants so Dr Zavarella did mine and everything turned out great. He is very friendly along with his entire office.

Dr. Zavarella was wonderful. His staff keeps the office free of CoVid risks. He and Dr. Stephen Malik, my dentist, completed an implant & crown for me yesterday. I'm thrilled with the results. Dr. Z is friendly, explained procedures thoroughly, so that I knew what to expect.

From a true baby who wanted to avoid a gum graft at all costs, thank god for Dr. Zavarella and his team! Quick and painless. Friendly staff, they talk to you the entire time and even had me laughing in the chair. I refuse to go to anyone else!

I have been with Dr. Zavarella for years. Very friendly environment, but the main thing for me is how knowledgeable and honest and ethical is Dr. Zavarella. I was diagnosed by another dentist to have an implant immediately, she was not so sure, so she referred me to Dr. Zavarella. He review my ex-rays, mouth, and did an extensive observation. He informed me that the teeth's root was still strong, but that eventually I will need the implant. I did not have to spend money right away.

Had to see Dr. Zavarella with an emergency. Wonderful staff, he was attentive, explained everything thoroughly and set a clear treatment plan. Was very impressed.

Dr, Zavarella is both an excellent and competent periodontist, but at the same time makes the whole experience enjoyable. I had a gum that had developed a deep hole. He took care of it, quickly I was so impressed. He has a wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend him.

They completed an oral biopsy, and sent my biopsy to an out of network lab. They charged me out of pocket up front, and refused to bill my medical insurance bc they quote "Don't do medical billing or know the codes." I also owe $265 for a lab bill bc they also don't know how to send specimens to in-network labs. Anna the front desk worker will blame you repeatedly for everything, when in fact their office needs to learn medical billing and customer service. Horrible experience. DO NOT recommend

Everything explained well. Total time in office well less than expected and less discomfort than expected. Highly recommended.

I was just referred to Dr. Zavarella Friday. A good friend of mine is Dr. Vorholt, who recommended I see him ASAP. Dr. Vorholt pulled a couple strings and as luck would have it, Dr. Matt had just enough time to squeeze me in. It is a VERY good thing this happened. In addition to the tooth that I originally was concerned about, there was another with significant periodontal disease that had not been spotted until Thursday afternoon. Being quite in a bad mood and not ready to make any decisions at all, Dr. Matt's chair side manner struck a great chord and I was able to come to a decision quickly. Once the treatment was in process, the previously unknown extent of infection in the tooth with periodontal disease was exposed. It is now 2 mornings after the treatment which included a bone graft in case I decide to have an implant. I wasn't realizing what my appetite swings were coming from as well as some mood swings but I can say with this treated I've slept normally for 2 nights and feel a lot better. (Beware :) Mood Swings and Appetite Swings is a diagnosis by the patient and may not hold up to scientific or medical scrutiny) To have met such a great doctor purely by chance and from my first visit to my friend Dr. Vorholt, I think, shows something significant.
