Dr. Matthew M Ragsdell

This is the worst orthopedic doctor I have ever experienced. I got mrsa from his procedure he performed on me. When I went back to him after a month he refused to treat me stating my insurance would not pay. He refused to come into the examination room and had his PA examine my knee while he stood at the door like a coward. I got home that afternoon and contacted my insurance provider and they stated that he had no right to refuse me treatment and they would pay what ever necessary to render services. I went to Missouri University ER. They admired me where I was hospitalized for several weeks to continue my pic tubing and treatment of mrsa. I had another total knee replacement there and the doctor said that it was the worst case he had ever seen in his twenty years of practice. I do not recommend Dr Ragsdale for any treatment on human or animal. I have since learned he is no longer practicing orthopedic surgery and is now in Florida giving Botox injections. I pray he lost his license to practice medicine in any state. The worst ever. I do not think he deserves a one star. I am very reluctant that I did not sue him for malpractice. Anyone that reads this is more than happy to reach out to me may do so.

After a fall from my bike, Dr. Ragsdale saw me right away. As great an experience as something like this can be. All healed now and good to go. I highly recommend!

Dr. Ragsdell performed my total reverse shoulder replacement. I spent 3 days in Oak Hill Hospital and was surprised at how little discomfort I had almost immediately. I was discharged with an Rx for pain pills but never even had to open the bottle. I had excellent range of motion very quickly; both the in home rehab nurse and outpatient rehab therapist were surprised at how well my range of motion was (be sure to do your rehab). Dr. Ragsdell does not hesitate to answer any questions.

I have now had shoulder repair surgery and a total knee replacement since I did my last review. Both surgeries were totally successful and I have recommended him to many people that have also had varies surgeries by Dr. Ragsdell. I have had many of them come to thank me for the referral. All have excellent results that they share with me. I can't tell you how fortunate we are to have this doctor available in Citrus County.
