The services that I received from Dr. DiPaola (and his staff) was excellent. I came from Rochester for his expertise and he didn't fail me. Dr. Matt and his staff are friendly and they ensured me that I was properly informed about the surgery. I went through extensive testing before he would operate and I am grateful for this. I had surgery on this shoulder prior by another surgeon here at home in Rochester and had nothing but pain until Dr. Matt operated. I was almost completely healed three months after a total shoulder reversal. Yes, I still have a bit to go (PT-physical therapy) but not much! I have no qualms in recommending Dr. Matthew DiPaola and his warm and friendly staff. I'm even considering my other shoulder for the same surgery. Does the traveling bother me, not at all, the outcome is worth it!

Dr Dipaolo did perform surgery on my left hand and elbow for carpal tunnel and a pinched ulnar nerve. Being a musician, I was very concerned and had some anxiety. The good doctor helped me in every area and my surgery was a complete success and I am no longer experiencing pain. I am so grateful to the doctor and his staff for their kindness, compassion and professionalism. Thank You for improving the quality of my life and allowing me to continue my career. I highly recommend Dr Dipaolo and UB Orthopedics.

Dr.DiPaola is a wonderful specialist with shoulder injuries. I appreciate the expertise & positive care he has given me. I am still in extreme pain; After ACDF surgery Monday; maybe some pain will be less! Otherwise, I will surely get more injections or recommendations from Dr. DiPaola. He is the best ! Dr. DiPaola is not only an excellent surgeon but explains the problem and options well. He addressed all of my concerns. I was referred to him by my orthopedic surgeon as he was not able to perform the surgery that I needed. I am three weeks post surgery, in a shoulder sling and pain free.

Dr. Matthew J. Dipaola, MD surgically repaired my right shoulder rotator cuff and biceps tendon as well as labrum. I had surgery 5 months ago and I’m feeling great again. I’m 58 and been lifting weights my entire life as well as using my shoulders for sports and basically everything because they are very important to our quality of life. I was dealing with pain and discomfort especially while sleeping or trying to sleep so went to see him. Decided to have surgery and was hesitant at first but I am so glad now that I did. I’m back to sleeping well pain free and can once again do the things in life I enjoy . Dr. DiPaola did a fantastic job and if you’re having any shoulder issues or arm issues go and see him . You have nothing to lose so stop dealing with the pain and discomfort and at least let him meet you and assess your situation. I’m actually going to have my left shoulder repaired soon because it’s also in need of fixing and Dr. Dipaola is the one to fix it. Dr. DiPaola was great! Did not know him at the time I fell on black ice and fractured my shoulder. He reviewed my x-rays and evaluated my lifestyle and made the decision to repair the fracture rather than let it heal naturally. This repair allowed me to have the same range of motion I had prior to my fall, and I am grateful for his expertise! Post surgery visits were always done with little wait time and yet he was never too busy to answer my questions. His staff was terrific and on top of all matters of my care.. Doctor repaired my torn bicep in late December. It was causing significant pain when doing even simple tasks like lifting a fork or glass to my mouth...which my wife keeps reminding me I do way more than the average man. The surgery & recovery was right on schedule with very little discomfort. I am now 100% pain free with full mobility. Dr. DiPaola Gave Me My Quality of Life Back!! I went to Dr. DiPaola for a second opinion after dealing with a non-union humerus fracture on my dominant arm for over 13 months. I had a “five-star” orthopaedic surgeon at one of the other big Orthopaedic facilities who kept pushing my surgery option down the road because it was a very “serious and complicated” procedure. I was so so tired of hearing “I don’t know why your bone won’t grow”. After trying bone stimulation, being taken off the surgical schedule and then being sent to an endocrinologist for answers, I knew it was time for a second opinion. Dr. DiPaoloa and I discussed my options and he told me that he was very confident in his ability to do the surgery. He was very up front with me about my situation, and he was very sympathetic. He has a very likeable personality and I felt more comfortable with him after one visit than I did with the other doctor I had for a over a year. I was so relieved Dr. DiPaola was willing to take me on as a patient. He scheduled the surgery and did a fantastic job. After five months of therapy, my arm/shoulder is coming along nicely. I fell and smashed my right shoulder out of town on Monday, flew home Tuesday, and saw Dr.DiPaola Wednesday. After looking at my x-ray, he said:”I have a little space in my schedule tomorrow, so I’m going to replace your shoulder tomorrow. I have already set up your pre-surgery clearance with your primary physician for 3 pm today, and you have to get your blood work done right now.” After the surgery and 8 months of physical therapy, I had complete range of motion and could even put my right arm behind my back. Dr. Matthew DiPaola replaced both of my shoulders due to osteoarthritis and Rhumatoid Arthritis issues. The second was done 4 months after the first. I went to physical therapy for both shoulders. I no longer have pain and can sleep on both my sides now. My range of motion is great and back to normal. I can reach above my head, behind my back and shoulders. I had a trigger finger release as well as a should injury. Incredible amount of time he spent with me. The results equaled the time they spent. EXCELLENT all around from entering the door to leaving!!!

My visit was very good. The wait time was minimal, but facilities were excellent, and the meeting with the doctor went very well. He’s very personable he provided easily understandable information regarding my surgery.

I was having elbow problems and went to Dr. DiPaola. He spent time with me and got to know me a bit. He took care of my problem and had a game plan in case the exercises he recommended didn’t help. He understood how Lupus affects my health, especially with regards to my joints. I recommend him highly.

Trigger Finger release and Should issues. He took considerable time and effort to examine me and offer me options, not just surgery. I chose surgery and I am glad. He is TOP NOTCH! My highest recommendation!

Dr. DiPaola was great. He communicated clearly. Listened to me well and is willing to meet me where I am and do what I want and not the other way around as I’ve found occurs sometimes. I have never had a cortisone shot before. I was not looking forward to anyone sticking a needle in to my sore shoulder so I avoided that. He was doing it before I knew what was happening and I was amazed at how adept he was at it and how little pain there was. Thank you Dr. DiPaola. I recommend him to anyone considering this doctor.

I saw Dr. DiPaola last summer for a rotator cuff injury. I was in a lot of pain and also healing from a total hip replacement in July. Dr. DiPaola advised non surgical TX and was very encouraging. He urged me to give my shoulder time to heal, suggested exercises and specific OTC pain relief. We decided to consider surgery once I was six months S/P hip surgery if I was still having a lot of pain. He called to check on my progress and REALLY took time to explain and assure me. I was prepared to consider surgery after New Year but then slowly, in October my shoulder felt better and better! I’m 76 and my shoulder is not what it was when I was 21 but I can now rake leaves, paint walls carry my laundry basket up and down stairs comfortably. I can get a good night’s sleep with only an occasional dose of Naproxen. NO SURGERY needed! What I want to stress is, that Dr. DiPaola is such a fine physician but is also a fine, caring man. I am delighted with him and the care he and his team gave me. I truly encourage you to seek his help if your shoulder is in pain. By the way, I am a retired orthopedic RN. I had a full right shoulder replacement done by Dr. DiPaola back in November 2019. I always heard some nightmare stories about shoulder replacements. They are nothing but myths. I have regained more movement in my right shoulder than I currently have in my left. Dr, DiPaola is an extremely great surgeon. He caring, professional and he listens to the patient. Dr. DiPaola performed my shoulder and bicep tendon surgery on 1/20/20. I can't be more please with the efficiency of his office and most importantly the outcome of my surgery. I've never waited more than a few minutes of my scheduled appointment. Questions asked via the patient portal are answered within minutes. I'm glad I made the last minute change and switched to UB Ortho for my surgery!

I had a rupture of my long head bicep tendon. In Ontario I was told it was not worth fixing and my pain would go away or I could wait about 18 months to reevaluate. I contacted Dr. Dipaola's office and discussed what he could do. A few weeks later and my surgery was fantastic. My arm is fixed and it looks and feels great. This was not as expensive as you might think. Thanks to Ashley and all of the Team at MFSC. I highly recommend Dr. Dipaola.

I had a car wrick in feb 2015, and had an elbow surgery in ms. where they placed hardware in my arm, for over two and a half years the pain was unbearable. i moved to buffalo ny & searched the net, i found a youtube video by dr. DIPAOLA, I called his office & all i can say is words is not justify enough to explain how great, honest, generous, kind and highly standard human he really is A complicated surgery turned out to be a big relief dr.
