Dr. Matthew Robert Churchill

Dr. Churchill is very personable and nice, but I don't recommend him for dementia patients. He saw my mom, who is highly intelligent and well educated, but who has almost no executive function anymore. He was so impressed that she could talk about Zelensky and the war in Ukraine that he dismissed the fact she can't pay bills, follow a simple recipe, or create a shopping list and buy all the items on it. He ordered testing which showed she has memory problems, but he said she was fine (probably just a little depressed) and told her she could live independently!

Well organized and efficient office

I am a long time patient of Dr. Churchill. He explains thing well, and I have never felt rushed. He is an excellent diagnostician.

Dr. Churchill heard my concerns and didn't judge for how long it had taken for me to make my first appointment. Second doctor to ever take me and my symptoms seriously, and when I had questions and concerns about being dismissed again, he made certain I knew that even if the tests don't show what he's looking for, thats not the end. Something is going on and our goal is to figure out what. It was a huge relief to hear.

Dr. listened and solved the problem from the first visit. No more migraines

One of the worst neurologists I have ever dealt with. Would schedule me for appointments then come into the exam room unprepared and unknowing of the reason as to why he scheduled me ... the practice is also an utter disaster. Dr M. R. Churchill proved that he has the professional expertise, scope of diagnostic ability and staff to follow up with services needed.

Dr. Churchill is very smart and kind. He is also very prompt in responding to emails. I highly recommend, especially if you are struggling with migraines.

This doctor is very smart and very knowledgable. He is low key and I guess at least one reviewer interpreted this as apathetic. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is quite caring and very good with his advice and diagnoses. His knowledge base is quite broad as well as being deep. He is my neurologist and I trust him completely!!!

Dr. Churchill has been great. He listens and explains things well. I highly recommend him as a doctor although the Fairfax office needs some care. It looks too clinical and sad. They should also have a TV in the waiting area and some nice pictures.

Dr. Churchill is awesome! He listens and is easy to talk to. His staff is also very caring and helpful.

Well he had an apathetic personality I felt. How was his diagnoses okay, nothing was outstanding about him. Could choose several better ones, that is what I am doing

I found Dr. Churchill to be very knowledgeable, compassionate, and without condescension. He informed me clearly of his diagnostic process and treatment options. He treated me as an intelligent co-manager of my health. Most importantly, he provided an appropriate diagnosis and effective treatment of vestibular migraine, giving me significant relief after five years of almost daily suffering. I am very grateful. Very disappointed in the care, concern, and compassion for my aging mother who has Alzheimers. Dr. Churchill seems dismissive and gives the impression that after leaving the exam room he does not spend a second more thinking about my Mom. Communication overall is difficult as the front office staff serves as a wall between the family and the doctor. I would not recommend this practice at all.
