Dr. Mary Ellen Csuka

Excellent doctor, hands down! Finally after a year of dealing with symptoms, she figured out the root cause to all my problems. She listened and her follow-up responses through Mychart were remarkable. I wish she was my primary doctor. I highly recommend her and look forward to seeing her again.

Knowledgeable, straight forward, honest, listens. Responds to needs and open to new ideas. Very respectful. When you have a devastating disease like Scleroderma, this is the doctor you need.

The first time I saw her she wanted to eliminate from my medical record diagnosis' I was diagnosed with by other MCW doctors and told me she did not believe my other doctors were right. When she saw she could not eliminate any because they were valid diagnosis, she took the one diagnosis 6 other doctors had diagnosed me with and said she did not go by lab tests which had been positive for 20 years only by physical exam and she did not believe the physical exam for that day revealed I had that diagnosis. I continued to see her for two years longer than I should have when she made comments on other doctors lab tests about lab tests being insignificant and treated me like I was someone about five years old or that it was all in my head after having diagnosis of spinal cord tumor, nerve damage, spinal fusion, sjogrens syndrome, sarcoidosis etc. This doctor needs to retire or just plain stick to research, she is not someone I care to pay to abuse me when I visit her.

This woman is so cold and unfeeling I left the office in tears. I have been going to this group of physicians for years and up until now have never been treated with anything but kindness and compassion by the other doctors. I will never go back to the clinic if she is the one to see me. Is is so hard to be kind to your patients? If the answer is yes time to find a new line of work or retire. I've been a registered nurse almost 20 years and would never treat a patient that way.

I would give 'that woman' ZERO stars for a rating if I was able! She hurt me during an exam where she cranked my head down to my chest and flipped it back to my back to "see how supple my head and neck is". A big coverup afterwards. Only rating her staff and office environment as a 1 star because I don't want to upgrade her rating in any way! Don't let her touch you. BEWARE. And the 3 prior ratings I've read from women on this site were EXACTLY as my appt. went!

This lady is absolutely barbaric and criminal! She's abusive, Demeaning, absolutely preverted, and degrading. She humiliates her patients and refuses to listen to them. If I was on my death bed I wouldn't even let her touch me. This lady belongs in the deepest depths of hell.

Dr. Csuka was abrupt with me. She was cold and not interested in getting to know me. She talked to her nurse, but not to me. When I tried to ask her a question, she answered me very sharply. I am looking for another specialist in Rheumatology. I do not wish to see her again.

First to look at me ! not just test results , everything went so fast , it seems ! It took my brain the next day to come up with more questions ,( Med's slow my thinking ) This DR. knows her stuff , Yup she is right to the point , Very professional .. I thank her for seeing me out of turn.

Hello I would like to inform the people seeking information in regards to unqualified rheumatologist. I just had one appointment with this doctor, and I definitely know its was my last appointment. I didnt receive adequate healthcare service. She seemed like she could care less about my rheumatologic ailments. She had the nerve to tell me maybe what I'm going through is all in my head. Let me remind you before I saw her, multiple doctors diagnosed me with several rheumatologic diseases. She stated she don't agree with any of the diagnosis and told me she can't do anything for me. So she advised me too go to a psychotherapist, I assured her that what I'm going through is not in my head. To make a long story short she wasn't able to give me any type of resources of information nor other treatment options for my rheumatologic ailments. She's very unprofessional, rude, and down right disrespectful. If I had the option of giving her a 0 I would have gladly checked that option.

She is cold & and not friendly. The doctor - patient relationship is one of trust and she does nothing to encourage or foster that. After my appointment, I left feeling misunderstood. She has a sense of arrogance if patients ask questions. She also speaks in a condescending tone and is dismissive of patient concerns. No patient should leave after seeing their doctor almost in tears.

Dr. Csuka cared for my mother throughout her battle with scleroderma. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting her until the end of that battle. Throughout the past two years, my mother always spoke very highly of Dr. Csuka. She remained optimistic and involved from the begnning through the end. She even made time to speak with my father shortly after my mother had passed away. I can not describe well enough how much we appreciate all that she did for my mother, and for my family.

The Dr. took a lot of time, asked lots of questions, made me feel comfortable, & was very down to earth.

Gruff. Very to the point. Made the patient feel like an idiot. didn't appear to hear anything the patient said.
