Dr. Martin R Chavez

Dr Chavez saved our triplets! We were nervous when we found out we were expecting triplets. Identical twin boys and a girl. The pregnancy became complex and we were advised by several physicians to terminate. Then we found Dr. Chavez. For the first time I felt calm, I felt he would do everything possible to help us have a good outcome and for the first time in the pregnancy I realized I had a doctor I could trust. I was so scared throughout our pregnancy and he was a steady beacon of reassurance. We had complications but he approached each development thoughtfully and with such patience for my anxiety. These triplets were the result of years of fertility treatments and my only chance at a family. I came to depend on Dr. Chavez's good nature and sense of humor. Our triplets were born healthy and are so treasured. I'll forever be grateful to Dr. Chavez for his brilliant medical mind and his ability to think outside the box. We made it because we followed his advice and I'll always always be grateful!

Dr. Martin Chavez saved our babies lives!! We can't thank him and his team enough. All around 5+ stars!! An asset to the medical field! I understand some on here may be upset with his attitude but he tells you how it is, he doesn't sugar coat it and demands and expects nothing less than the best out of his staff. He only puts the top professionals on his team and this is proven as you will see him test nurses in front of you, may even stress them out... why ? Because if they can't handle stress during a routine check-up how are they going to perform under a stressful situation in the OR. Dr. Chavez is a natural born leader, an inspiration to myself and many others, he doesn't get enough praise for what he does. This man is a Hero! Like other reviews here, Dr Chavez saved my daughter. He did a procedure on me that no other doctor would take the chance to do and I now have a healthy baby girl, when I almost lost her at 20w. On first meeting him, he can come off a bit cocky, but once I got to know him I learned that he truly has a heart of gold. He went so far as to give me his personal cell phone number one weekend when he was concerned about me. Do not hesitate, please see him if you have a high risk pregnancy.

Some patients might be turned off by his bedside manner but he is top notch . He is an expert in his field and does care about patient outcomes . I even had his personal cell number for emergencies which I did have to use a few times and he never made me feel uncomfortable about it . For my first baby , he spotted a rare abnormality that if went unnoticed, would have been catastrophic. For my second baby , I saw Dr . Vahanian but he was involved in my care as well towards the end of my Pregnancy because I was there three times a week . Yes he might be blunt and direct with his staff but I never minded because his job is to get at risk mothers to deliver healthy babies . I was happy to know he demanded perfection and excellence in his practice.

The staff and sonogram technicians are caring, informative, and compassionate. Dr. Chavez is rude, condescending to his staff, and prone to explosive anger outbursts. He is high strung, aggressive, and at anytime liable to yell, make a rude comment, or be condescending. This is not an environment I want to be associated with during a pregnancy. There are multiple OBGYN/Imaging centers in the adjacent area and no one should be subject to a doctors own ego and bad attitude especially with the cost of healthcare. Today is My Sons 11 th Bday. He saved his life. The Head of the department told us there was nothing she can do and we were going to lose him. He came in and said he was a cowboy and he would push him back in and sew around his fingers. 120 days of extreme bed rest later our Beautiful son was born. Dr. Chavez you changed our lives forever. At 10 weeks I found out something might be wrong with my baby, and I was referred to Dr. Chavez. Upon entering the office, I was nervous, scared, miserable, heartbroken... it was terrible. While waiting for my appointment (I was pretty early due to my nerves) the doctor came out to introduce himself and then offered to see me right away. He even let both my husband and mother come into the room with me for support even though there wasn’t much space in the room. He was patient, respectful and kind and did a thorough, careful examination before telling me what was wrong. Unfortunately, the diagnosis wasn’t good, and the heartbeat stopped around 3 weeks later, but it definitely helped to have an empathetic doctor who cared. He then helped me schedule a D&E with a colleague of his, taking time out of his busy day for me. To say i am grateful to Dr. Chavez is an understatement. He’s an amazing doctor and I can’t recommend him enough for those who need to see an MFM doctor.

I work with doctors every day in the operating room as part of my job and I have never been more impressed by a doctor than I have with Dr Chavez. He was able to diagnose what was happening after hours of ultrasound and never once did we feel rushed. Took the appropriate steps in giving us clear answers with our all the BS. I appreciate a straight answer.

He is very knowledgeable 1 of the best 4 sure but he does have an attitude that proves it. If you can get past that he is the best there is. I know this because I worked there and he is the most knowledgeable you will find. But he is extremely rude.

Dr. Chavez is highly recommended for his expertise in the field and for techniques he pioneered in fetal evaluation. We were referred to him by our ob/gyn for a CVS. He did an excellent job. I felt very comfortable in his ability to obtain a sample & he was as gentle as could be. I will be seeing him again for an amnio and fetal echocardiogram. Yes he was short with his staff but they definitely deserved it. I work in healthcare and would expect to be spoken to the same way if i was making careless mistakes with a patient during such a serious procedure. He kept the staff on their toes and it made me feel confident that he was making sure i received quality care & there were no mistakes made with my procedure or with my sample afterward. Dr. Chavez is compassionate, highly skilled and experienced & i wouldn't trust my high risk pregnancy to any other practice. Dr Chavez helped me and my wife at the most desperate time in our lives. Our son had an extremely rare diagnosis and Dr Chavez stepped up and led him to a miraculous successful birth. He may not be so “by the book” but his quick thinking and problem solving capabilities made it possible for my son to be born against all odds. We fully trust him and are lucky to have had him as part of our journey. Dr Chavez helped me and my wife at the most desperate time in our lives. Upon entering the room the doctor seemed nice and caring, a little neurotic but nothing to bad. He seemed to really try and make us feel comfortable with him, however when he belittled and treated his staff like garbage in front of us we immediately lost respect for him and started to feel very uncomfortable. He then almost redeemed himself as he desperately tries to diagnose our baby’s condition. He told us he could not provide our baby’s gender over the phone or email which made it difficult

Staff is wonderful. Doctor chavez is condescending and frankly rude. Dr. Muscat was amazing but unfortunately her coworkers made me so uncomfortable I would never go again and would never recommend.

I could never understand why people are looking for a dr with good bedside manner until i had a very complicated pregnancy and i met dr Chavez... he helped us through very hard times not only with his intelligence but also with his great personality and optimism... when i first went to his office he came over to introduce himself at the waiting area! We are so grateful to have met him

Dr. Chavez is amazing. He is one of my favorite doctors that I wish I could continue to see after my pregnancy. He is thorough, and knows exactly what he's talking about.

Dr. Chavez took an already stressful situation of finding out that something was wrong with my baby at 12 weeks and made it all the more stressful by yelling at his staff in front of my husband and I as they were completing further testing to confirm what they saw on the sonogram. He repeatedly yelled at every staff member in the room as they were in the process of completing the CVS. I would not recommend this office to other patients.

dr. Chavez is brilliant. He has amazing bedside manner and makes you feel at ease in uncertain times of pregnancy. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff.
