First, consider the source of many of these reviewers. Many of them are coming from very dysfunctional or mentally Ill backgrounds. Personally Dr. Lucas has been an absolute asset to our family. He is the most patient caring doctor. anyone could ask for ever. Remember, these doctors are not for counseling services, but they do what they can with limited time. Yes, they are almost always running late, because they try so hard to give you the time you need. Dr Lucas is very busy with his practice. I couldn’t ask for a better team despite that flaw. We have depression, add, and alcoholism running through our veins. He is the most patient caring Dr. anyone could ask for. He has spent so much time with us, especially our son, talking, listening, and really guiding us through tough things. Remember, these drs are not for counseling services, but they do what they can with limited time. Yes they are almost always running late, because they try so hard to give you the time you need. Where else can you go in for treatment for Bipolar Disorder and walk out with Oxycontin? If you have a history of substance abuse this place will give you the hook up. For those of you who are trying to get rid of a family wmember Dr. Lucas will give them Oxycontin without instructions and they overdose a few days later. Say hello to life insurance money!

Aetna Kelsey Care gave me this Dr. so I called to make an appointment and even though Aetna was the one telling me I could go to this Dr. and any practitioners, but the appointment person made me call insurance and double check (I had done this 3 times already but I did it again just for her). They once again said that they were in network, and this lady put me on hold and came back to the phone and said they don't accept anyone on aetna kelsey care, even though before it was a "maybe"- now they don't. I guess they don't want new patients?? That's all I can assume and I guess I am now making the right choice to move on after reading these reviews. The administrator / secretary went ahead and called my wife even though I made the appointment and then cancelled my appointment. It's unbelievable how I call in the appointment I'm the primary contact but yet they manage to cancel the appointment without my knowledge.

The WORST psychiatrist ever!! I visited him at his office and I could tell all he wanted to do was get to the golf course ( because he said that was where he was going)! I was crying my eyes out and he really didn't care. His eyes were devoid of empathy. A stranger on the street could have cared more. Bad human.

If you're looking for a fix for opioids, this man has got you covered. Even if you have no medical condition that even warrants the use of these prescriptions he'll give them to you anyway. Even if you have a history of drug abuse problems he'll give them to you. If you have government insurance he'll give them to you. He cares so much about his patients that even when one of them dies of an overdose because of these drugs he'll deny all of it. Can't ask for a better doctor or drug dealer in this case same thing. If I could rate less than I would. Michael Graves is RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! and Dr. Lucas is no better! If you need psychiatric care SKIP THIS OFFICE! Absolutely NO empathy or concern for dealing with people needing true HELP! You will leave worse than you showed up just from the way you feel belittled, as if you are drug seeking (even if you don't want to take meds AT ALL) or told to go in the hospital and I'll give you one guess as to who owns the hospital. PLEASE Don't go here if you need help and I mean that from the bottom of my heart because you will regret it. And I am a real person. As a matter of fact If you ever decide to come off of your holier than thou, I'm a DOCTOR and you're not type of thinking and read what your patients really think then I hope you read this: I AM A PERSON WHO HAS A HEART & SOUL, WHO ISN'T A SECOND-CLASS CITIZEN AS YOU TREAT US AND I KNOW WHEN A MED IS WORKING OR NOT BECAUSE IT'S IN MY BODY.NOT YOURS!! And if you are deciding on a doctor based on reviews.....PLEASE keep in mind that the positive reviews are created through AI (they're fake) and certainly another deception just like these doctors! Personable and likable doesn't make competent and effective doctor. He was my doctor from 2001 to 2008. I was bi-polar and within a short time he had me undergoing est treatments at cypress. Had 7 sessions but they were ineffective. Tried many different medications for the depression and very limited success. He was never able to arrest the mania whereby I was fired from my job of 22 years. The periodic bouts of extreme mania were my downfall. The mania also put enormous pressure on my marriage that in may 2018 will be 40 years. Finally after my last manic episode he suggested I enter a treatment facility in San Antonio that treats alcoholics and drug addicts primarily. I was neither thought when manic I was capable of abusing them among other things. Thanks to my wife she found a dual diagnostic faculty in California. The in-house doctor there met with me for about 15 minutes and prescribed lithium. Lithium is the oldest known treatment for mania. Within a week the mania had completely dissipated. Pretty remarkable since Marshall had been unable to achieve the same in 6-7 years. When my wife called him to get an explanation he became defensive and after all those years of trusting him and his treatment, I've never had a conversation with him since. His incompetence cost me at least 10 years of earning power and put enormous stress on my marriage. Even today after being 9 years removed from his incompetence the experience still lingers. Finally when in California my doctor at the facility refused my suggestions that he call Marshall so when I came back and saw him again he would be up to speed on my treatment while there. When I ask him why he wouldn't agree to call him his response was " because of what he did to you."" I guess that about covers it. My son, an Emergency Room Doctor, has highly recommended Dr. Lucas to myself and a couple of family members all with excellent results. I see reviews related to wait time and cancellations. Please realize how rare it is to find a psychiatrist who has an individualized plan for each patient. He can, in a very short time, realize the nature and illness of the patient and knows which medications will most likely work. His knowledge of pharmacology is on a genius level. Andi gets back ASAP.

They make you wait 3 hours past appt time, then won’t refund copay but will apply to next visit. Next visit, hour & 45 mins past appt time before I give up. They put you on high doses of meds & won’t refill unless you see them in person. But you can’t see them in person bc they push you out weeks & then hours past appt times. Dangerous to stop taking these meds cold turkey but they don’t care!!! 2 trips to their office, 2 appts late, 0 times seeing dr, 0 prescription refills.

Place was a joke. I got in rather quickly, but I didn't get a good concerned vibe from Dr. Humphries. This was really just a check up, my current state of how I am doing sort of appointment. This was a new doctor for me, but I had to pick who was on my insurance and had to get a referral. I thought they would be good, since I was at Cypress Creek and Dr. Lucas was one of the doctors there (I did not seem him, but was confident his group would be just as competent and caring as Dr. Chen). Different mbrs of family have gone to Lucas. Always been disappointed w/scheduling. Trying to bring my son as new patient & had to schedule appt 2 mos in advance only to have their ofc cancelled on us twice!!!!!! Now the appt has been reset for an additional month. We are so very frustrated. Our General Practitioner is trying his best to keep our son stabilized while we wait to get into Dr. Lucas (we started this process in February and here it is in June and still haven't seen him!)

Honestly, If it had just been the waiting room, I may have remained working with him; but all I really remember is that I had ended up in a in-patient treatment... and he was enough of a jerk about it that I was not impressed. He knows his stuff, but he has the bedside manner of a drunk chicken.

the office brags about the physician, they set you up with a psychologist. Then when I asked for the reasoning, they offer a nurse practioner or a physician assistant. I do not have a problem with psychologist, but honesty and integrity is questionable. If I see the name of so many doctors, then my expectation is to see a physician.
