Dr Thimineur, understood my 90 year old mother’s pain from arthritis inside her whole body along with psoriasis inside and outside the body. I only saw him once, then the nurse took over. She was VERY Rude and no caring. She was so bad she made my mother cry. My mother should not have to go through the rest of her life in pain. She didn’t even let my mother in the office we stood outside in the hallway

I received an injection which took care of all my pain in my back. I was very happy with the professional Dr. Thimineur and all of the staff in North Haven. I have nothing negative to say about my experience , only positive, and I plan to revisit if I need pain management in the future.

I was a patient at. Comp. Pain and headache center since they opened. I went for over 20 years. I even went on Sundays when Dr. Thiminuer had a Dr. who would wire you up like a PINBALL MACHINE, you had to sit there for over an hour, you had to look at a computer and make objects connect. How this made me feel better I will never keep. I went on Saturday and Sunday for 6 weeks. I was working then, leaving my family. Anyhow, I left the practice April of 2018, because every time you go there, they would question you pain medications usage, and if you took more than they thought you should, Andrew would chew me out like he was the teacher and he caught me SMOKING IN BOYS BATHROOM. At that time I moved out of the area, Again, When I moved back to this area I called them 6 times and left my name and number with NEVER a call back. Didn't meet doctor because the experience with his front office. I have never been down this road in my life having had a very healthy life until an accident 19 months ago. With the absolute need for a pain management plan I fully expected the staff would be repsonsive and caring at a very bare minimum. I fugured that the staff would be patient with a person who is in perpetual pain and also worried about taking care of their family and job. Commonsense says anyone who is working with customers who are suffering should NOT add to their suffering. Today, the staff at this doctor hung the phone up me 4 times after I asked them if it is OK to not contact a potential patient 8+ days after receipt of a referral. In fact the question was labeled by a staff member as abusive. All doctors should demand that their staff treat patients as though they are valuable customers just like all businesses must do. Dr.Thimineur's group informed me that my insurance company rejected a radio frequency procedure on my lower back, and that they wanted to perform a nother lumbar injection which I have had done twice in the past, once recently performed by Dr Thimineur, both times it didn't work, the pain came back within a week. What makes Dr Thimineur believe that the results would be any different this time around?? I contacted the insurance company, and they have no record of a Radio Frequency Procedure been submitted by Dr.Thiminuer.???? I used to see dr thimineur until my insurance changed. He was the best! Very compassionate and very knowledgeable. I wish I still had good insurance because I would be back there in a flash. He was always coming up with new pain treatments. He wasn't just about giving you medicine to help pain. I have yet found anyone to manage my spinal stimulator he implanted nor can I find anyone that will give me my blocks in the groin area. So, I would definitely recommend dr.thiminuer for anyone who needs pain control. He's not just about giving pain medication its treatments as well. I have been a patient for over 10 years. Dr. Thimineur is very knowledgeable with CRPS, scoliosis, and herniated disks. He is able to understand my pain. When I see him my appt isn't 5 mins. He takes time to explain my condition and doesn't sugar coat my future. Without him I would of never made it this far. His staff can be hit or miss but long term staff like Andrew is just as good as the doctor. Do not listen to all the negatives you may read. I’ve been a patient for several years now, and I find Dr Thimineur to be one of the best pain doctors I’ve ever seen. He saved my life and cut my pain level by 60-75% implanting an occipital neurostimulator. I also receive epidurals for my upper and lower cervical and they work wonderfully thanks to Dr Thimineur!! I can’t say enough about his staff! They are beyond terrific and you never have to wait to be seen unlike many other pain doctors where you wait for at least 3 hours. I’ve seen Dr Thimneur several times and he has always helped me for my back pain. His practice as strict rules that patients must adhere to, urine tests prior to seeing the doctor. He’s always been attentive and appointments are not rushed. W.S

Will not make an appointment if they don't have a referral from your doctor. Had records from my doctor, would not accept - had to be faxed from doctors office. The records were faxed twice - I can't get anyone to tell me if records were received, do not return calls. Just called again and was disconnected.

I have been his patient over 10 years. I am so greatful for him and allhe has been through. Other pain clinics are closing and running. He is pushing through the drama and still caring for us. My meds where cut but I know it's politics and so I don't complain. My family and children are thankful to have had a mom all these years. Without his care I think I would be much, much worse and not mobile. Let's not forget he has a family too. I am so tired of reading negativity. Dr. Thimineur is not and was never the issue.

the office is a joke, the woman there clearly hates her job and the rudest person i haven ever spoken to in a Dr's office , left me on hold for what seemed like forever then got absolutley nasty . when i said we would use another dr she told me to go ahead, left one star because you dont have a choice

I had a horrible experience at a pain management center and asked my doctor for another recommendation. Dr. Thimineur was like NIGHT AND DAY from the other provider. I let my doctor know that he should be recommending Dr. Thimineur over any other pain management center. Dr. Thimineur gave me a tremendous amount of time during my first visit and he really helped me understand the issues I have following a car accident almost 4 years ago. His staff were amazing and treated me so professionally. I highly recommend Dr. Thimineur and his team! As a new patient, I had a very good first meeting with Dr. Thimineur and an equally good follow up with his medical associate, Andrew Paulson. As a Complex Regional Pain sufferer, as well as someone who has a childhood spinal injury that requires epidural injections, I have responsibly used prescribed opioid drugs for my pain; though because I have been in remission and free of them for more than a year, I saw Dr. Thimineur only to schedule epidural injections for my back, not to ask for medication. As the date of the procedure approached, I called with questions about follow up care and was told by his coordinator, Gina, of whose medical credentials I'm uncertain, that I would not be allowed any further direct contact with Dr. Thimineur, or his medical associate, Andrew, and that all decisions about my follow up care, including any pain medication I might need as a result of the procedure, would be made by or through her. Having been off opioid medication for so long, I was concerned about post procedural pain and wanted answers from my doctor, and tried to schedule a meeting with him before the procedure. I was told by Gina that doing so was impossible and I cancelled my epidurals and scheduled the first available appointment with Dr. Thimineur before rescheduling the epidural procedure. Before that appointment could occur, I received a notice that I was terminated as a patient, for no specific reason. I have since unsuccessfully tried to contact Dr. Thimineur for an explanation, and can only assume that asking questions and insisting on answers from a qualified medical professional disqualified me as a worthy patient. While Dr. Thimineur and his medical associate, Andrew, were courteous, knowledgeable and seemed very competent, his assistant Gina basically accused me of trolling for drugs because I expressed concern about postoperative pain management. As a longterm pain patient, I fully understand the need to better control opioid abuse, but drug shaming responsible and legitimate patients isn't a solution. Dr Thimineur himself is fantastic!! He literally saved my sanity and my life by finally diagnosing me correctly after I had a "procedure happy" dr who only wanted to do unnecessary, expensive interventions that 1) weren't needed 2) made me even worse than before!! It's unfortunate that Dr Thimineur's office has had a ridiculous staff turn over rate lately- AND NOR FOR THE BETER!! He will obviously be blamed when the APRN's have had their schooling (and should know what they're doing!)

That are not responsive to issues you have with your pain. The keep changing their dr and aprns. they assign you to aprons who are not on your hmo and when you try to get you medication the pharmacist will not fill it. This happened several time and the last time was on thanksgiving eve leaving me without enough meds all weekend because they were not open until Monday. When I called their answering service they wouldn't take a call regarding pain meds. If I were you I'd avoid them like the pleq

Find another pain specialist. The last time I saw him he poked around my back in a half-dozen places before he found a spot he could get the needle in. He couldn't get past a bone spur but kept poking anyway. When I asked questions about the procedure, he was not particularly open with a response. The office staff needs to communicate better; scheduling was a pain in the neck and I was given erroneous information by two different clerks. Looking for a new doctor.

I have many different types of arthritis from my neck right down to my toes. Besides that herniated discs , nerve damage , neuropathy, RA I need both knees replaced, sciatica and many more aches and pains. Dr. Thimineur and his staff have been helping me deal with all of my chronic pain for about 5 Years. I had searched for someone to help me for several years prior to finding Dr. Thimineur. I usually get all of my health needs takencare of at the VA, but they wouldn'the help me at all.
