Dr Mark Slovenkai & his whole team at NEBH are the BEST. He is top notch surgeon and caring, a rare combo. I had a much needed subtalor joint ankle fusion with bone graft - success and I was never worried because of Dr Slovenkai’s talent and knowledge. ♥️????????♥️

After causing a foot collapse on my right foot from a torn tendon that I walked on mistakenly for 10 months, I wanted an expert orthopedic consultation as my foot was worsening by the day. I wanted to go to a New England Baptist Dr for their excellence in orthopedic specialists and found Dr. Slovenkai. At my first appointment Dr. Slovenkai assessed my problem and was like a laser focused beam to the issue at hand. His opinion was verified by MRI and I underwent a complicated foot surgery including a steel plate and screws and tendon transfer. Every step of the way I felt confident in both him and his team. I am 12 weeks post op and starting to walk again. This surgery was essential to me ever walking normally again and Dr. Slovenkai did an amazing job. I owe him so much gratitude for his expert skills and it was worth travelling 5 hours to be assured I was in the best of hands. Thank you Dr. Slovenkai.

Two severely arthritic ankles replaced with outstanding results. No more pain

I am ten years past two ankle replacements. I can report no pain, full movement, invisible scars, and overall restored mobility from crippling ankle arthritis. The left side required additional surgeries because of the severity of the problems, but all were successful. I highly recommend this doctor and NEBH.

I am very thankful to Dr.Slovenkai who is a treating doctor for my father. He was the only one who diagnosed him and treated appropriately. Excellent surgeon who takes his time and explains everything what is going to be done. He is very detailed in regards to treatment and pays attention to your requests. Had Ankle replacement Aug 2014 after a dozen years of severe pain and seeing different remedies and diagnosis. A friend referred me to Dr Solvenki and based on my experience and results would highly recommend. Extremely happy!!

Has been over five (5) years since I had a ankle replacement and can not say enough as to how it turned out!! I had issues over a dozen years in Springfield MA and did the shots, therapy, braces and they wanted to fuse my ankle. Based on my experience cannot say enough how happy I am with my results. Would highly recommended!!

I have had multiple surgeries by Dr. Slovenkai. I am extremely pleased with all of them. Excellent surgeon. Waiting time can be longer but I feel that it my due to the time that he takes to answer questions. I have recommended him to several people. They were also very satisfied.

Dr Slovenkai did a right ankle fusion on me. I continued to have pain for 2 years. He kept telling me it would take 1 year to heal. At one of my last visits he told me the screws might be loose. He took an x-ray and when I went back to see him, he told me it was just more arthritis. I asked if the screws were loose and he stated "He never said that to me! " Subsequently, I changed to MGH for another foot specialist. He removed the screws and they grew out bacteria. I was on an antibiotic IV for 6 weeks and by mouth for 6 months. You can also tell by the stitch line, he did not do it. A student did. When Dr Slovenkai sent me for an injection at the Baptist, the doctor who gave me the injection asked me who butchered my ankle. I had extreme pain in my ankle for over ten years. I’m from the Springfield MA area and they wanted to fuse my ankle. I visited Doctor Solvenkai at New England Baptist who performed a full Ankle replacement and I couldn’t be happier! Based o. My experience I highly recommend!

The phones are awful just to get someone on the phone is a mission always get the mailbox and not a live person unbelievable.

I drove more then 2 hours to get second opinion, send about 10 sheet of papers with my records from previous surgeries on my ankle. I gave 3 disks with my x-rays before appointment. They wonted to make x-ray even I gave them one that less then couple weeks old. Doctor came with group of students and right away start talking about MRI. I was referred by another doctor whom had surgery with Dr Slovenkai with great results. I did see Dr Slovenkai and am very pleased with the results. This was a 2nd surgery. The first surgeon didn't do a good job. I had a Weil osteotomy, neuroma excision and bunion fusion. Sheri Martinellli, NP was excellent, very knowledgeable and maticulous. The receptionist and admits were a pleasure to deal with as well as the X-ray tech!! I could go on about being early and taken early. Never waited past my scheduled time. I am a 72 yr old retired RN. Dr SLOVENKAI did a R Pantalar Fusion,Fibula OSTEOTOMY, with ileac crest bone graft and a titanium rod placement in the tibia on 10/29/14. I had severe AVASCULAR NECROSIS of the Talar BONE with severe OSTEOARTHRITIS of the foot and ankle. My surgery was a great success and I would recommend this Dr to anyone with a severe foot and ankle problems.

Dr Slovenkai has been amazing. Any questions I had he and his staff answered promptly. I moved shortly after my operation and Dr Slovenkai called one of the best Drs in LA to arrange for him to take me as a patient. Highly recommend Dr Slovenkai. He is amazing!

He was very informative, listened to the patient, and did not rush the appointment.. Before you go make sure you can explain what your pain feels like, he needs it as specific as possible. I think to get to the actual diagnosis, he needs to pinpoint what your feeling exactly. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend him.
