Dr. Mark Fredric Sands

In the early 1980s Dr. Mark F. Sands and the emergency room staff at Millard Fillmore Hospital saved my life. I suffered from chronic asthma, stop breathing, and died. I was comatose for more than a week. I lost so much oxygen to my brain, when I finally woke up I didn't recognize my family, and lost the ability to read and write. Dr. Sands encourage me to take one day at a time, instructing me on how to find another doctor, because I didn't trust my health to anyone else. Dr. Sands was more than a doctor he turned out to be my guardian angel. Reluctantly I moved to North Carolina. Today, I'm two classes away from my master's degree and I'm a great grandmother.
