Mark feels like family. Someone I can communicate with about anything bothering me. He gives great advice. He is someone that will give you a great boast after your session is over. Thank you Dr. Ruffalo

I can't say enough good things about Mark Ruffalo! Mark has worked with my teenage (now 18) son for over a year and a half. My son has grown tremendously throughout their time working together. He is a consummate professional and very dedicated to furthering his knowledge in the field of psychotherapy. Highly recommend.

Mr. Ruffalo is a very compassionate psycho-therapist. I was looking for someone who could give me a sliding scale for my son, who is on Autism Spectrum. Mr. Ruffalo brought a great deal of awareness and self-realization through psycho analysis as why certain behaviors occurred due to past traumas. His approach is not rigid based on “one size fits all”. I am so thankful to Mr. Ruffalo for helping my son with empathy and bringing hope and optimism to help him move forward in life. My son has a long way to go but becoming aware of his issues opened new doors that is leading to other successful outcomes. Thank you, Mr. Ruffalo, for having an attitude of respect and sensitivities to individuals of different backgrounds with dedication and commitment for helping others. Mark L Ruffalo was so helpful to me i recommend him to anyone seeking help. He sped up my timeline by a few months while seeing him, if i still lived in florida i would be seeing him every week. He is very professional, kind, understanding and he has a sense of humor. Again he is the best psychoanalyst out there.

When it came time to seek outside help for our son, we knew we had to seek God's help. We didn't want just anyone, we wanted God's best for our son. It took two weeks of prayer and research, before God led us to Mark's website. Upon reading all about Mark, we knew he was the one for our son. After our son's first day of meeting with Mark, he left his office happy (which was a rare feeling at the time, for him). Our son has a high sensitivity to cues of acceptance, understanding, and trust. By our son's reaction, we knew Mark must have made him feel very safe. Our son has been seeing Mark now for nine months. During these months, there have been a couple of times our son had to be hospitalized. Both times Mark was right there beside us. Mark would visit with our son during his hospital stay, which gave us great relief knowing he was there fighting for our son. Honestly, we could not have gone through it without him. Mark is highly intelligent and professional, but at the same time "down to earth". He is compassionate, caring, kind, and has a heart to see the depth of the pain our son was experiencing through past trauma. Mark is prompt with his appointment times. There is no waiting. If the appointment is at 1pm, our son will see him at 1pm. Also, Mark is probably one of the most non-judgmental persons we have ever met. He always makes our son feel valued. There are people who come into our life, and we are forever changed, and forever grateful, for being allowed to have met. Well, Mark is one of those people in our lives. I started therapy about six months ago with a Psychologist. After about five sessions, she said that she could not help me and sent me to Mr, Ruffalo. After a short while during our visit and after explaining my issues to him, we decided to partner up. I really like Mr. Ruffalo`s approach to psychotherapy. While he recognizes and understands the labels in mental illness (I have bi-polar,ocd) he does not label you. He is warm kind and very professional. I would recommend him to anyone!

As someone that suffers from some ptsd and is diagnosed with bipolar II, I have had a great experience working with mark and have been seeing him for about 2 years now. Always has good insight to issues I'm facing, and is always avaliable! I have texted him with problems during nights /weekends and have always gotten a quick response! 100% what I was looking for!

I couldn't disagree more with the negative post below. If you want a doctor who is going to say you have a brain disease and push drugs at you, go somewhere else. Mark takes the time to listen to his patients and help them through their struggles with empathy and compassion. I saw him for years and would recommend him highly.

Takes the time to listen to his patients' concerns, does not immediately diagnose patients with mental illness but rather wants to understand them. Warm, compassionate, and friendly. He also teaches at the medical school and is very knowledgeable about psychotherapy and psychiatry.

Treats mental illness as a moral problem and not a medical problem. Will not help if you truly have a neurological disorder such as bipolar disorder: Borderline Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or severe anxiety or depression. Beware if you truly have a neurological concern. Disrespectful to other practitioners that don't see things the way he does.
