So grateful for finding this doctor for my family. He went beyond expectations for us.

He was very reckless during surgery.

The fact that I am even awarding a single star is astounding. This man ruined my friends life through his reckless actions during surgery. He severed an important nerve, and my friend developed a dangerous infection due to unwashed tools. They have had to endure numerous surgeries to undo the damage he did. He's done an amazing job for my little brother!

Dr. Puccioni is the finest Dr. I've ever met. He undoubtedly saved my son's life, and that enabled him to have a better quality of life. I can not express how much you influenced my views on having a special needs child. Thank you Dr. Puccioni!

Using work account, my name is Danielle and Dr. Puccioni, aka Pooch not only saved my son's life in 2017, he is a stellar doctor who cares deeply about his patients and the parents. He explains things in a manner which is not above your head. He has an impeccable bedside manner. He is calm, kind and skilled beyond reason. Dr. Pooch has continued to care for my son who had a large (walnut sized cyst) removed from right above his brain stem. It was unimaginably scary yet from the moment he met us I wasn't scared. I knew my son would be safe and he not only was completely cured, he has had no side effects which ranged from paralysis, memory loss to seizures. I cannot imagine anyone else going inside the most delicate part of a human. I trust him with my life and clearly my son's. Couldn't give a higher recommendation. He is a miracle worker and clearly has done so for many, many others. If there was a higher rating I would give it. Thank you Dr. P. You are my hero! In Oct, 2001, Dr Puccioni did sx on my neck C4-C7 replacing them with cadaver bones ground to fit and 4" titanian plate and 8 screws. If it had not been for him I would ver easily lost my ability to walk and it would have been too late for sx to repair. This followed a car accident with a bad, inaccurate report from the neurologist. Nine years later I saw a different neurologist and 6 days later I was in sx to get this fixed. Several drs since have seen X-rays of my neck and said they could not believe how perfect the sx still looks as the screws have not moved at all in 20 yrs. He is my hero and was so kind and caring and prayed with me before sx. Terry Leet 10/2001

He performed my daughter’s neurosurgery when she was 4. We were young parents and overwhelmed with the whole situation. He was so caring and confident, we knew we were in good hands. We look back now and realize how lucky we were to end up in Dr. Puccioni’s hands!!

Most amazing Doctor. Our 17 year old had a large schwanoma on his spine. Dr. Puccioni was there for us before and after surgery. Never felt like he was to busy to address all our concerns. And he did an amazing job...forever grateful to him.

Dr. Puccioni has performed surgery on both of my children. We traveled a long distance to see Dr. Puccioni and our surgical results have been life changing. He is a highly skilled surgeon with an an amazing bedside manner. Our surgical outcomes have far surpassed anything we could have imagined. We will forever be thankful to Dr. Puccioni and his staff.

The best neurosurgeon ever in Omaha.Did my sons VNS surgery and highly recommend him. He took all our concerns seriously,answered all questions and put us at ease.Made my child feel comfortable in being able to talk to him. Best professional attitude in a neurosurgeon I have ever seen.

Dr. Puccioni is an excellent neurologist and surgeon. When my daughter was diagnosed with a tethered spinal cord at age 7 he performed the surgery. When he explained the procedure to me, I couldn’t believe how calm and confident he was talking about the procedure- it was like he was a dentist talking about filling a cavity he was so confident. I distinctly remember him telling me about all of it, how there would be an incision, and saying “and then we’re going to drain the spinal fluid.” The color must have all drained from my face because he then smiled and said “we’re gonna put it all back.” My little girl was out of surgery in no time. Her scar was minimal. It had been tethered if I remember (I’m no neurologist) at L4 and should have been free floating at L2. Dr. Puccioni said when he untethered it, her cord snapped right up like a rubber band. Before the surgery she had become fully bladder and bowel incontinent. After the surgery I remember it was maybe a week- maybe sooner- when her eyes filled with tears and she said “momma! I can feel! I have to pee!” I also remember it was really hard to make her take it easy. She seemed almost unaware of the surgery she had just undergone. She didn’t ever seem in pain. We’ve had a lot of doctors and surgeons help our family, and a handful of neurologists for different reasons. I just wanted to say that sometimes you know you’re in skilled hands. This was one of those doctors. We’ll definitely come back if we need to. Dr. Puccioni is an excellent neurologist and surgeon. Everyone that works in this office are wonderful. They’re so nice and easy to work with. I have zero complaints.

Dr. Puccioni saved my life in 2011. I would not be here today if he had not performed a bilateral craniotomy on me and was instrumental in my treatment for alpha-hemolytic Streptococcus lesions in my brain. He is not only an excellent surgeon, but was great with me and my family in explaining my treatment and all procedures. Simply the best.

This is the worst doctor ever! I can't believe he is allowed to practice medicine. He told us to take our child home to die because HE didn't think anything good was possible. THEN when our child was treated elsewhere by a doctor who is competent, he said, "Well, I don't see why she did this procedure. SHE thinks she can help you but I don't see it doing any good." IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT MY CHILD HAD S4 and is now getting better. NEVER trust your child to this snide, sarcastic jerk.

We believe if it was not for Dr. Puccioni are daughter chances of living would be diminished. We are very fortunate for our outcome. We appreciate everyone that was involved. Good outcomes (life) is not guaranteed. I strongly urge everyone to be an advocate for the patient. One must educate and cross reference anything of importance. We literally placed our 7-year-old daughter’s life in Dr. Puccioni hands. I looked Mark Puccioni in the eyes and he confirmed he would try to do his best.

I would caution anyone who is considering surgery for seizures to ask Dr. Puccioni what the quality of life is like after surgery for these patients. My husband had surgery and now requires 24 hour long term care, despite being told by Dr. Puccioni he might need some speech therapy after surgery. My husband has not had seizures for a month now, but his quality of life is greatly diminished. I would like to know how many people no longer have seizures-but no longer live a meaningful life.
