Mark Douglas Norris

Dr. Norris continually crossed professional boundaries. He is Power seeking and manipulative. He was obsessive and accosting, at one point, finding me in a busy waiting room without getting my permission to do so-and then sitting down next to me and start inappropriate conversations all while terrifying me and breaching my privacy! He continually ordered extremely expensive and unnecessary tests and would extend my office visits to 60, 70, even 80 minutes!!! There were several calls to my home at ridiculous hours, threatening to send someone to my home “to check on me” because I didn’t call back quickly enough, falsifying my medical records are just a few very unprofessional behaviors I dealt with under his care. Multiple times, Dr. Norris relied on advice from respected colleagues regarding my care, only proving to me that he lacks the ability on his own to properly DX and treat congenital heart issues. He abused the fact that I was very sick for his gain. I Do not recommend! Completely unprofessional, unpredictable behavior (to the point of obsession) that was terrifying, traumatic and completely unacceptable. As a woman, with congenital heart disease, I can say the standard of care deserved is unprecedented and therefore would never recommend Dr Norris to anyone at any time!

Very disappointed in the lack of compassion and bed side manner. My Grandchild has been a lifetime patient at Mott Children’s Pediatric Cardiology. Her primary Doctor was not available during an unforeseen and unexpected visit to the clinic and we were able to get in with Dr. Norris. We have made it very clear that our family will never work with Dr. Norris again. Arrogant like persona and incredibly quick to dismiss.

Tried to get in touch and explanation in detail of my condition. Not a good experience

Unaware of HIPPA standard when discussing personal information with patients in a public place. Orders unnecessary and expensive tests.

Wether you are a patient or the family member of the patient, having a life threatening illness like CHD is traumatic enough on its own. The last thing you need is a doctor who adds stress and trauma to an already scary situation. Speaking as a close friend of the patient and as a heart mom of CHD, I would not recommend. Hope this help others when considering their treatment options.

Dr. Norris has been my daughters cardiologist for 4 years now and is always very friendly and very informative. He makes my daughter feel comfortable and explains things in a way that she can understand and has even drawn pictures for her to help her understand.

Dr. Norris is an incredible doctor and a truly kind person. He goes above and beyond for his patients and truly cares about their best interests. We are so lucky to have him as our provider.

Dr Norris & his staff (especially his nurse: Sandy, and NP: Andrea Craven) are phenomenal. His demeanor is very gentle while explaining complicated level of pediatric cardiology physiology & thorough testing to provide care and treatment necessary.

“Very unkind disposition- mediocre at best”

Im an adult living with CHD. Came for a consult and decided to seek care else where for my repaired Coarc of the Aorta. Dr. Norris is Not very personable.
