Mark Grant

long story short, I was given an ultrasound to figure out what was going on with my stomach. A lot of pain, swelling, infection, discharge, I could barely walk and move around I hurt so much. This had been going on since April. It’s now September and infection #2. The ultrasound tech and I both saw something weird so she went to talk to her dr about it. She got photos as best she could and I was to follow up with “Dr” Grant. After waiting almost an hour to be seen by him, he came in and first thing out of his mouth was “what are you here for”? I’m sorry, could you not be bothered to spend 5 minutes looking at my chart and ultrasound results before coming in? The hour I had to wait was surely enough time. He looked at nothing beforehand and then kept me waiting longer so he could go out and supposedly look at the results. Not with me, or try to explain anything, or even hear me. He cut me off every two seconds as I’d try to explain anything going on since the beginning. He was extremely rude and lacked any sort of behavior a dr should exhibit. He kept saying that basically the ultrasound tech (and dr) didn’t know what they are talking about and what we could clearly see in the pics was nothing. He kept telling me since he could not physically feel anything wrong with me or see anything, then clearly there was nothing wrong with me. He kept trying to push me off to get another ultrasound and kept refusing any further, better test like a ct scan. I decide to start talking and not stop until he finally shuts up and hears 2 seconds of something I said. He then says let me check something and rams his finger into my belly as far as he can. Then he decides to backpedal everything he said and tells me I have a hernia and let’s now do the ct scan and get me taken care of. First he’s telling me I’m not a concern, my problem is such a low priority don’t expect anything for a while. Now it’s the opposite. I was fuming mad and luckily my husband was right there with me the whole time as a witness. While waiting I was told he was currently working with a breast cancer patient (why did I need that info?) and after that visit I said I pity that poor woman who has him as a dr. I left and called later when somewhat calmer and demanded a new dr because I refuse to see “dr” grant for anything. Ever. FYI, I didn’t have a hernia. I had a freaking hole in my belly apparently and after having surgery (after infection #3) I no longer have a belly button because the whole thing needed removing. Also, when asked for the millionth time what I’m allergic to and I say penicillin and that I can’t even have something in the family of penicillin and how the meds they gave me the first go around for the infection made me feel like I was dying but you give me the same stuff again because you don’t care, screw you dude.

Dr. Grant is incredible! We wouldnt think of using any other surgeon. He listens to his patients and he genuinly care about you! I could never thank him enough! Carol McCullagh
