Dr Gimbel is the best doctor! Not only did he do my difficult cancer surgery, When my oncologist left Arizona he took on ordering my scans and managing my care for 7 years now. He's a wonderful person who truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr Gimbel was good. This scheduling service “sucks”. It is near impossible to communicate with scheduling. If you have to reschedule no one calls back. Been trying for 2 weeks.

Dr Gimbel and his staff are excellent. From the time I had my records transferred to the date of my surgery was only 9 days. Thank you to Margo, Betty, Mary and Elizabeth for making it all happen and taking great care of me.

OK, I am going to put this right out front -- you should NEVER, EVER (EVER) make medical decisions based on anonymous online reviews from strangers. NEVER. I mean seriously....think about this for a second. Whether a review is 5 stars or 1 star, are you REALLY going to give any weight to the opinions of complete strangers when making a decision about something as important as your health? We are not talking about buying a toaster on Amazon here. So really, I can't stress this strongly enough -- if you have a serious medical condition and you're trying to find a good doctor, I think you are doing yourself a HUGE disservice if you base any part of your decision on anonymous online reviews from strangers. NOW, having said that, I was recently diagnosed with melanoma and the random pot-luck of my health insurance machine sent me to Dr. Mark Gimbel (not Gimbal). I am giving him a 5-star review because the guy seriously deserves it. Dr. Gimbel is smart, friendly, explains things clearly, and is willing to take as long as necessary to answer any questions you have. Better yet, Dr. Gimbel gave me the four words that any/every cancer wants to hear following treatment: 'You are cancer free.' Again, while I strongly endorse Dr. Gimbel and hope you have an equally great experience with him (or whoever you choose for treatment), I can't stress this point enough -- DO NOT rely on anonymous online reviews when choosing a doctor. That is simply crazy.

Dr. Gimbel took the time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. He was very friendly, thorough and professional. I would highly recommend him. His office staff is wonderful too.

One of the best surgeons, in and out of surgery. Let me know ahead of procedure what to expect. How to heal and recover well. His staff is super friendly as well as he is. The professionalism Dr. Gimbel showed was amazing. From explaining the procedure beforehand, to the actual surgery and then the follow up was all a comforting experience. Dr. Gimbel Dr. Mark and the staff as well, treated me like family and had my best interest at heart. Would trust and will seek them out if any future procedures are needed..

Dr. Gimbel and his entire staff are amazing. They cared for both my family and I during my surgery and recovery. I couldn't have had a better surgeon and team anywhere in the world. Their expertise and compassion are far beyond any experience in a medical practice I've had before.

My wife was diagnosed with aggressive melanoma a few months ago, and some acquaintances referred us to Dr. Gimbel as "the doctor you want." They could not have been more right. Dr. Gimbel has all the qualities a surgical oncologist should have. He's very up to date on research and practice standards, takes his time with each patient, goes over everything in as much detail as you'd like, is available for questions, is honest and straightforward about your condition and has good bedside manner. IN JUNE, 2015, MY HUSBAND, RICHARD WAS UNDER DR. GIMBEL'S CARE FOR MELANOMA ON HIS RIGHT ARM, THAT REQUIRED ANOTHER SURGERY. WE FOUND DR. GIMBEL TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WARMLY ATTENTIVE TO ALL OUR CONCERNS AND QUESTIONS. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. My husband was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans. Dr Gimble was one of many surgeons we interviewed and the doctor we confidently returned to for treatment. Dr Gimble and his staff were amazing...attentive, knowledgeable and compassionate. We can't thank them enough for the service they provided during a very difficult time

These comments are regarding Dr. Mark Gimbel and his staff at MD Anderson Center, Chandler, Az. Dr. Gilbel was strongly recommended by Dr. Marsh (radiology oncologist) and Dr. Chen (hemotologist oncologist), both of the Sun City West area, as the best qualified surgeon for my surgery. Dr. Gimbel removed a sarcoma, plus affected kidney and bowel. Under his and his staff continued oversight, I have received what I consider the best possible care. More than meets reasonable expectations.

Amazing Doctor. Highly Recommend for Cancer Surgery.

You could not ask for a more compassionate, friendly, calming, skilled surgeon than Dr. Mark Gimbel. His staff and colleagues are equally as wonderful.

He cut out a tumor in my leg. Because of the extant of the cancer there was always a danger of losing my leg, and he told me that drop-foot was inevitable because of the nerve that had to be taken out. I have more function in my leg now than I thought I would have, and I think other doctors would have just removed my leg. In my opinion, he saved my leg.

My husband had an appendectomy done on Christmas day 2012. He was in severe pain for 2 days until he said "ok, lets go to the emergency room". I took him to Banner Gateway Hospital through the ER on Christmas morning and within 2 hours of entering the ER, my husband was in the hands of Dr. Gimbel! :) My husband healed up great and not one single complication.
