Literally the worst experience with a doctor in my entire life. Our first telehealth visit she seemed soft spoken and kind but in office she is impatient and extremely rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt with the first visit and came back again but it was the same. She barely spends time in the room with her patients. She wants to be in and out. She acts irritated with questions. As a parent with newly diagnosed food allergies for my child I had lots of worry and I had a lot of questions. A good doctor should make you feel at ease and leave the office with clarity. That is not the case with her. Do yourself a favor if you have kids and go see a pediatric allergist who cares about your child because she is clearly just there for a paycheck. I went somewhere else and it was like night and day how I was treated. The front desk girl was nice and that’s about the only good thing I have to say about this office so I guess my one star goes to her since I can’t leave 0 stars. Thanks for making me feel so insignificant. I sent all my documents, waited for 2 months for DR Cook to review my case. I finally got an appointment, then they called me the next day and canceled because Dr Cook suddenly decided she couldn’t help me. Dr. Marisha Cook is refusing to see patients even with a referral and contract with insurance.

Dr. Cook is a wonderful, compassionate and knowledgeable care provider . She doesn’t rush you and takes her time to listen attentively . She is has excellent manners and deals with my child with lot of love and compassion. I am very happy we found her for our child . We have been seeing her for couple of years now . The appointments are not easy to get , unfortunately. Also, I wish Dr. Cook could also have clinic in other location closer to central / west rockford . Going to Rockton Ave. Every week for shots is quite a drive !!! That’s my only request . Please think about giving the patients to get their shots at other locations as well. Dr. Cook is very kind, friendly, and experienced. She is sensitive to the needs of children and keeping them comfortable and safe at school and at home. She doesn’t over- prescribe medication and made sure we understood how to use an Epi-pen when we received the prescription for the first time. We’ve never had an issue with the front desk in terms of rudeness despite other reviews. We’ve been seeing Dr. Cook for a few years. Dr. Cook is widely sought after/ has a tight schedule. While the occasional appointment pops up due to cancellation, make sure you attend your own appointment to avoid waiting even longer. Do check in early as at any doctor’s office. We’ve always had a good experience with Dr. Cook. She’s very sensitive to the needs of a child and being able to keep her comfortable and safe in both school and home settings. Dr. Cook is very experienced and friendly. Highly recommend. We’ve never had a problem with the front desk.

I had a bad experience with a staff member and briefly mentioned it to the doctor and within an hour or two of me leaving the doctor found the problem and fixed it and even apologized for my experience not to mention she’s super friendly with me and my child. Dr. Cook is also efficient, offer helpful solutions and answers, and she made me feel at ease with her caring for my child this doctor is beyond amazing

Never met this doctor, but will say she has the most rude front desk help I have ever been in contact with!!! That alone will make it for certain that I never recommend her office to anybody!

The doctor is an amazingly patient, kind, friendly and informative doctor it sad that I won’t be seeing her there again. Her staff specifically one of her nurses named Amy was not only rude to me in person but also over the phone. Long story short I didn’t have my insurance card because they’ve never sent me the card She did look to find it in other ways after giving her my drivers license she proceeds to call me (a black woman) Shaneequa then she says that we have to reschedule I informed her that I’ve taken off from work and that wasn’t and option especially after waiting 3 months for the appointment. I get on the phone with my insurance and she finds my policy and we see the doctor as I’m leaving I asked apologized because I did get angry with her earlier. 2nd incident today I call the office to reschedule tomorrow’s appointment, earlier today my daughter had and accident where she fell, busted her head off en so bad that she has a hole in her head that requires stitches after being in the hospital for hours getting her treatment I know my 3 year old wouldn’t feel up to being poked and prodded for an allergy test. The operator tells me that the soonest would be in January but that she would leave a message for dr cooks nurse, ok fine. 5 minutes later Amy calls and asks for Shequiqui, my first and last name sounds how it looks which is pretty straightforward, I correct her she doesn’t apologize and she informs me that I’d have to wait until January, I tell her that my daughter was involved in an ver serious accident, she doesn’t even ask how she’s doing she she suggests that I bring her in anyways and then informs me that I’m going to have to wait until January or February I let her know that I’m going to have to find her another doctor and before I can even finish my sentence before she says “best of luck to you” and then hangs up. I’m writing to everyone I can about Amy not only was she unprofessional, rude, but her words had hints of racism. This is unacceptable I will not stand for this until something is done. I would give the doctor 5 stars and her staff would get 1 star and that only because I can’t go lower. She is commuting medical fraud by picking and choosing patients based on the kickback their insurance provides. This is discrimination!

I absolutely enjoy this doctor! She was the only one to help me with my skin condition. She has a wonderful patient connection as far as I have experienced each time I have seen her! I trust her and that means a lot these days. I would recommend her to my friends and acquaintances.

I am looking for an allergist. My family did not believe in doctors. I tried to get an appointment and they said she would not accept people who need allergy testing?

I had Dr Cook as my internist before she took on as an Allergy specialist. She is and was the most wonderful women doctor that I have ever had. She is caring, understanding, and actually listens to your problems either health or otherwise. I never went to her and felt like I had a wasted visit because she made every minute count. When you have Dr Cook on your side as your Allergist, you will feel better all the way around. I miss her, but the other doctors in her group are also the best.

She is a horrible doctor and treats patients differently based on their insurance. If your insurance is not great she will send you to the emergency room so she doesn't have to deal with you. Every time I have had a problem she has misdiagnosed me even on simple things leading to months of problems for things that could have been resolved easily. You would be better off with a witch doctor and prayer than this 'doctor'.
