If you are transgender, DO NOT GO HERE. I went here for 2 years, and was still not allowed to do my shots by myself. Along with this, the doctor will also give you a monthly “breast exam” as well as measuring and checking you “down there” each visit, which is NOT normal. When I confronted him on this, he says he uses the information for when he works with intersex babies to determine what sex they really are. There is no correlation between measuring the anatomy of a trans man who is age 13+ and determining the sex of an intersex newborn. He also uses an outdated method of distributing testosterone, which is by giving a shot each month. This doesn’t allow the testosterone to cycle at a normal level and makes you experience a lot of highs and lows. The most common intramuscular site is the thigh, and for some reason this doctor chooses to administer the shot on the butt. When I confronted him about this, he claimed that it hurt less. I came out to my parents as a transboy. For my transitioning, we did not have experience and my parents brought me to him. The dosages of testosterone he gave turned out to be 10 times what the recommended dosages were, when a new provider showed us how high my blood test was we were shocked! I am glad to have found REAL doctors now!

Dr Castro-Magana is the best of the best. He diagnosed my PCOS in 1999 (at age 18) when the condition was not well known or treated. He put me medication that helped me lose 100lbs in 2 years and gave me back my life. He is the most caring and lovely man and I only wish that I could still see him now at age 37 -Deena

Dr Castro-Magana is a wonderful caring Doctor he’s been treating two of my children and my wife and I couldn’t be happier he answers all your questions and eleviates your fears God Bless him

We love Dr. Castro-Magana. He is extremely thorough, very down to earth and easy to talk to about your concerns. We feel blessed to have found him.

Dr. Magana is careing, thorough, informative and a pleasure. He has been our Endocrinologist for 11yrs. My Daughter has severe Graves Desease. I can't tell you how THANKFUL I am to have found this wonderful Man. He is a True Doctors Doctor and will do Anything to find an answer. I can't say enough about this Wonderful Man.

Can someone please ask dr Castro to call me back with my sons results. I'm very concerned there is a problem because he will not return my calls for over a week. I paid 630 for the test and waited 4 hours to take it. Please help!!!!!

Amazing Doctor, I have been seeing him for 7 years as a transgender man and he has assisted my transition and helped me become the man I always felt I was. This guy is the best!
