Great staff and physicians. Nurses are caring and take their time to explain medications and testing. They walked me through every step and helped me to understand everything that was happening. Highly recommend Dr. Piekos!!

Don’t waste your time with others if you have a choice like Dr. Piekos. First time that my OBG doctor at a time diagnosed me with fibroids was about 13 years ago. She said if it wasn’t creating any problems for me she could just monitor it which she did. However, a little over two years ago I started having extremely heavy menstrual bleeding, pain and discomfort and felt a huge lump in my belly which was making me feel uncomfortable doing regular life routines or laying down on my stomach. Ultrasound and MRI showed that I had one big 10-12 cm and two smaller 4cm fibroids. I started consulting with any doctor that was recommended to me by friends and family. During the two years before my surgery I consulted with 5 other OBGYN/Surgeons. As you can imagine it was a painful process. Almost all of them were just recommending what was probably just easy for them, hysterectomy, and not considering my situation and readiness to go through that. They were not saying they cannot do myomectomy, they were saying it is impossible! I was so depressed and frustrated. Long story short, I started googling about fibroid removal specialists and I saw Dr. Piekos’s name! I called the office right away. I sent them my MRI and they scheduled an appointment for me. Dr. Piekos explained all the options for me and told me it’s only my choice that makes any option better than the others. I said I want to go with laparoscopic myomectomy. My surgery went extremely well with no side effects after that. The nurses were really nice and caring. Dr. Piekos called me several times after the surgery which shows how thoughtful and responsible he is toward his patients. I was able to walk couple of hours after the surgery but per Dr.’s recommendation I took it easy for about two weeks. I went back to work after two weeks and started light workout (walking and light hiking) about a month after and regular workout two months after the surgery. And now it’s been more than three months that I enjoy the fibroid-less life! Thanks to Dr. Piekos. I have been planning to write a review for Dr. Piekos after my surgery, but every time I started writing I thought I could not explain in words how great this person is. Dr. Piekos was excellent. The day I met him, I immediately knew he was the right person to perform my abdominal myomectomy. I found him to have outstanding expertise in the field of fibroids and women's reproductive health. He understands the quality of life implications as well as the medical implications of fibroids and their associated issues. Further, he has a remarkable bedside manner, which is rare for someone with his level of skill and experience. My abdominal myomectomy went very well. Dr. Piekos explained everything to me during my consult and pre-op visits, and I felt confident and prepared going into surgery. He checked in before surgery, met with my family, and made sure I was at ease. This was important to me as it’s natural to have jitters just before the procedure. Following surgery, Dr. Piekos communicated with my family and me about the surgery, how it went, and what to expect in the short term. I progressed very well and was able to leave the hospital in the planned time. My post op visit also went well. As before, Dr. Piekos both explained things to me and gave me the floor to ask questions. After meeting with 3 other physicians before Dr. Piekos, I can confidently recommend him. After finally fixing my chronic headaches with Doctor Grace Piekos I was finally able to focus on making a family with my husband. However after over a year of trying we couldn't get pregnant. I was heartbroken. So when I went to Doctor Piekos he told me that I shouldn't lose hope. I am so grateful for these doctors for changing my life for the better. They sent my ex wife a bill 2 yrs after the fact with freezing embryos. She received 1 bill went to pay the 50.00 in.person out of a total of $900. Apparently its $450 a year to freeze an embryo. They waited purposely to send her a bill for $900. Never once sent her a bill. They threatened her when she went in with collections. I had to sign a waiver. So went in the same day snd signed. They threatened me with collections too. Never once did i get a bill. I asked them to furnish me with record of the bills disseminated snd records. They could not produce any. They are extorniosts and I will be making a complaint against their license and contacting Lisa Madigans office, Attorney General.
