Dr. Zussman made the best of my awful situation. His skill as a surgeon has taken my possible life altering injury from broken and dysfunctional to being able to walk and function mostly normal. I returned to full time work 2 surgeries and 6 long months later. Thank you for your skill! Your encouragement and bedside manner are an extra added plus. I am thankful every day that I got the best trauma surgeon in the Northern Illinois area. The staff at Ortho Illinois is kind and caring. Thank you also to his nurse Michelle for going above and beyond.

Very good Doctor and professional with his work and surgery.he did surgery on my leg it was pretty bad and Dr.Zussman performed surgery to fix my broken leg.he did a good job.he and his team of staffs are very good in alot of ways.Thank you Dr.Zussman

My appointment with Dr. Zussman was for a second opinion on whether I should have surgery to repair a broken bone. He started by asking me what my concerns were, and then addressed them. He was very patient and caring. I left feeling much more confident about my decision. Would definitely recommend choosing this doctor for your care.

Very pleasant and answered any concerns that I had was very straight forward which I liked.

Dr. Zussman was willing to answer questions and made clear the ‘steps forward’ in my recovery.

Very through with explanation of what happens next. We left feeling assured and confident. Everyone we interacted with were very kind and helpful.

Dr. Zussman is a patient person, his bedside manner is great, he has an understanding of the pain and limitations of his patient. His care plan takes these factors into consideration.

Treated me for my broken tibia very professional and honest . Gives much needed information and best advice

This doctor treated me for a total Lia franc dislocation. He warned I may never walk again. After surgery, it was a long recovery, but I was able to return to work on the ambulance without deficits. This man is still be of the most talented surgeons I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. This was about 10 years ago. I just wanted you to know how greatful I am for your meticulous work and attention to detail. Thank you again. You are amazing.

Dr. Zussman is an amazing doctor! I had 4-5 fractures due to a fall and he repaired my hip to almost like new. I was able to return to full time work in 4 weeks! I have no pain and feel great! Dr. Zussman is precise, pleasant and prompt

I fractured my femur in two spots so I was unable to have a hip replacement. He did the best job he could do with the way the bone was broke. In the end he referred me to a different doctor who would be able to give me a hip replacement. He said that I would benefit from having that surgery done.

Dr. Zussman treated me for a broken leg. He was thorough, helpful and friendly. The wait time was minimal and everyone practiced social distancing. I highly recommend.

In March of 2020 I fell at home and severely fractured my right arm. Following an emergency room visit that day I was subsequently operated on by Dr. Marc Zussman at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Awakening I found that I had an 8 inch long incision through my right bicep and an x-ray disclosed beneath that incision there was now 13 stainless steel screws along with a stainless steel plate holding my now repaired arm back together. Today, July 10, 2020, I made my final visit to Dr. Zussman. The repaired arm is 95% healed with minimum scaring and only a hit of discomfort when I extend that arm straight up. To say that Dr. Zussman is an expert orthopedic surgeon is an understatement. I hope I never see him again in his line of work, but if I do I know I will receive the best, expert orthopedic care. I went to see Dr. Zussman after a motorcycle accident where my ankle was badly broken. He did surgery on my ankle and made me feel better. Dr. Zussman is amazing! He never makes me feel rushed at appointments. He put me back together after my injury and I am so happy with the results. He always explains everything and makes sure I am comfortable with the plan.

Dr Zussman is a wonderful physician!! He did an excellent job repairing a fracture in my hip - so well in fact I did not experience any pain! He is professional, has a great bed-side manner along with being just a nice guy!!

Dr Zusmann literally changed my sons life... (my sons words)! After years of previous shoulder surgeries he had a major fall and multi fractured his collarbone. All others turned my son away for months. Dr Zusmann began the process then did surgery 9 months after the fall. Multiple bracing and hardware and 9 weeks later he says he has never felt more stable and strength is growing every day! He is finally past all the pain and forever grateful! Dr Zussman is a great Doctor! I have seen him on two incidents a broken foot and also a broken toe! He is thorough in explaining the process and cares to make sure you are healing properly so you do not have any issues in the future! Highly recommend!

Doc is currently seeing my son for a broken kneecap. He saw me some years ago for a broken fibula. Doc is amazingly thorough and has excellent bedside manner. Very caring and compassionate in his service. Also light hearted, down to earth and exceptionally pleasant as a person in general.

Dr. Zussman and his staff were very professional and knowledgeable. They all were friendly and made sure you were aware of everything going on and what they expected during the entire process.

Very good doctor has taken care of me so far threw 2 surgery’s I got one more left on my foot but I’m not at the least worried would refer him to anybody

Dr Zussman performed surgery on our son who broke his collar bone did an excellent job in repairing he is very thorough he is a great Dr

Very personable, listens to your concerns both before and after surgery. Did a very good job with the incision. I wasn't that worried about a scar, but will be barely noticeable once healed.

Dr. Zussman and all of the OrthoIllinois team are simply wonderful. While no one wants to have a medical problem, the fact that your care does not add to the stress is a relief.

I had a serious humerus fracture. I'm very pleased with the successful repair. Dr Zussman discussed the surgerical option and gave me the full use of my arm again.

We are so glad to have been referred to Dr Zussman of OrthoIllinois. This was our family’s first broken bone and it needed surgery on top of it so we are so happy that we met Dr Zussman. The whole experience has been as great as it could possibly be ... from the consultation to the surgery to the post-care appointments. Dr zuessman is simply awesome! Excellent care from a top notch trauma surgeon. Follow up visits were superb with dr zuessman truly caring about my wellbeing.

He is in my opinion, a brilliant, top drawer orthopedic trauma surgeon. It’s been a very difficult road for me over the years, but I can now walk, and do most of the things I use to be able to do. If there was such a thing as a 10 star, it should be given to Dr. Zussman. Our first encounter was not under the best situation as I had broken my hip and wrist. Dr. Zussman not only fixed the fracture but his follow up care is beyond compare. He is compassionate, caring and also has a sense of humor. I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone.

Im very satsfied with my care and good outcome with my surgery. The Doctor is very nice and answers all my questions.

Dr Zussman is a no nonsense surgeon and repaired my leg perfectly. 10/10 would break my leg again!

Dr. Zussman did a fantastic job mending my 4 femur fractures. He never rushed me in any of my follow up appointments , and always gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions and understand my condition. He is a skilled surgeon whom I would easily recommend to anyone unfortunate enough to break a bone.

He was absolutely wonderful. Always pleasant, always professional. I always looked forward to seeing him. He treated me as if I was someone special, not like just another medicare patient. He is a credit to the profession and I have worked with physicians all my life being a retired nurse, so I recognize quality in the profession.
