Dr Mashburn Manson is the most insensitive uncaring person I have ever had as a doctor. She is a discrace to the medical field. She is arrogant and does not listen or care about your well being.

Four years ago I developed a pain in my abdomen that still plagues me to this day. One year into this ordeal, I began seeing Dr. Mashburn for the depression that developed due to this pain. She had a very flippant attitude toward my treatment in general and spent more of our time together talking about herself than my condition. At one point, I was admitted to the hospital because I needed treatment for both my pain and my psychological state. I was in extreme amounts of emotional and physical pain. When Dr. Mashburn came around and I explained my situation to her, my needs, she literally laughed at me and said, "Steven, this is psychiatry not medicine." I was denied any medical attention other than observation and had to use legal means to escape (A word I use very purposefully) her "care." A doctor of any field that laughs at and mocks their patient when they are in an extreme state doesn't deserve to practice medicine at all. I would recommend to anyone reading this, please, for your own safety, stay away from this monster. PS: To her defender, I respect your opinion and am glad someone had a positive experience with her. However, she is a psychiatrist. They should no be so detached from their patients that they laugh at them and deny them medical care. That night, three other patients called legal counsel to get out of her care according to the observation staff. Plus, I have a masters degree. In one phrase:DO NOT GO TO Dr. Mashburn for treatment. Egotistical and maniacal at best. Her only concern is to destroy lives and reputations. In addition to destroying my relationship with my phyciatrist who I've seen for over a year she destroyed my character with a trumped up diagnosis of being a drug abuser. When I was at the end of my 4 day treatment with no signs of drug dependency she admitted that I indeed took my medication as directed. But by that point she had already gotten me discharged from treatment by both my phyciatrist and pain management doctor. She needs to have her license revoked!!!! I'm sorry, but I must defend her against these negative reviews. Dr. Mashburn delivered excellent care to me. Lets remember she is a doctor and not a nurse. A doctor renders detached objective analysis of your condition and a nurse wipes your tears and soothes your pain. To the person who claims she talked about herself more during treatment, Im sure that was a tool for diagnosis. And to the one who called her a ' Pill Pusher,' that's what psychiatric treatment is,script medication. After all, lobotomies and electro-shock therapy have fallen out of favor, ya know. And I prefer my doctors to be 'flippant'; Its a sign of superior intellect. Ohhh, and 'egotistical and maniacal' really means ' attractive powerful woman who intimidates me.' She helped me when I was in a desperate situation; I'm thankful for her care. 'Lunch with friends' is the least this lady needs to unwind after dealing with people at their worst every day. Treating those with mental issues irrespective of ability to pay, I think that deserves a heartfelt, Thank You. Her scripts for me were spot on. Keep fighting the Good Fight.

This woman is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. She is more interested in her phone calls and lunch than in her patients.

she was indifferent and contributed to the death of my 26 year old type one diabetic son who was referred by his endocrinologist Dr. Andrews To her for ADHD medication review and evaluation. she hastily diagnosed my son with anxiety disorder and prescribed lexapro in addition to adderall, which caused disinhibition and death.

Let me describe to you the Pill pushing, care free attitude of Manon Mashburn. My mother suffered from several mental health issues, Mashburns answer was to supply her with enough valium to sedate an elephant. 90 pills a month. When my mother came to her saying she felt like ending her own life, her advice was not to seek further medical attention but take a vacation. Well fast forward two weeks when my mother tried to kill my father with a butcher knife and then tried to kill herself. Dr. Mashburn was notified immediately of my mother's arrest and condition. Her response was "well what do you want ME to do?" This is a supposed medical professional, whom took an oath to do whats best for her patients. Apparently pushing pills like a peddler on the street with no real regard for anyones mental health is her interpretation of that.
