Dr. Manar Abed Hammoud

i really love the ladies there however dr. hammoud herself has clear problems listening to parents concerns. i fought with her for months about trying a milk free formula, finally at 4 months i yelled at put my foot down and told them to give me something non milk based. the second we tried amino acid based, my son stopped being what i thought was extreme colic. he has been doing amazing for months on soy now but we just went back and Hammoud tried to tell me to switch him back to normal formula when he is older. i said no, he has a clear milk allergy. she said “well we’ve proven soy doesn’t help with milk intolerance, right? soy is the same” uhm it says on EVERY SINGLE SOY CAN “for lactose allergy/intolerance.” soy and cow milk are NOT in the same category. it’s unfortunate too because the ladies will agree with me and hear me out but the second Hammoud walks in, hammoud won’t listen and sadly her sweet and caring ladies have to just sit there while she tells you how wrong you are, despite being the one person who is with your own child literally 24/7. i love the staff, amazing amazing women but i refuse to listen to anything Hammoud herself says at this point. she will argue tooth and nail with you over your own child when you know something is off. trust your instincts mommas and don’t listen to her, but i do enjoy coming here because the other ladies genuinely listen to me and hear out my concerns. i’m sure i will eventually make a switch because your ped needs to listen to YOU, not to what their own opinion is. overall i’d rate the office a 7/10 i really love the ladies there however dr. hammoud herself has clear problems listening to parents concerns. i fought with her for months about trying a milk free formula, finally at 4 months i yelled at put my foot down and told them to … More

Best Docter I have ever met!!! Very nice staff, and friendly. The doctor is always welling to to help with anything you or your child need help with. She always make sure I aske all the questions I have, and she answers them all. She explain everything to you and make sure you understand. She is a very caring person. I have 3 kids with one on the way. I’ve brought my kids to genesee pediatrics since I had my first. There’s no other place I’d rather take my kids! The dr always takes her time and explains everything for me. She has been a phone call away during some scary times that everyone with kids experiences! Allergic reactions, infections, broken bones ???? Now with covid and a baby on the way I’m happy I have a great office to rely on. Thank you Dr. Hammoud and the genesee pediatrics team! She’s a wonderful doctor!! My daughter was so sick I called to get in she said come in now and I will see her. She’s very understanding and listens to everything you say. She’s more like family than a doctor to us!

I have been bringing all 3 of my children to Dr. Hammoud for four years now. My children have a great experience every time we are in her office, which makes a big difference (especially compared to how other doctors have interacted with my babies). The doctor is so knowledgeable and caring, and she always answers all questions and concerns I have for my children. She is a great doctor, always taking care of her patients and checking in on them to make sure they are fine. I have tried many other doctors and she is definitely the best because she actually CARES!

So Dr. Hammoud has been my kids doctor for 7 years and it's time for a new one. 7 years ago the office was the best place for my kid who at the time was born premature. Long story short fast foward until present day and I dread being at that office. Waiting times now are through the roof and you have a waiting room full of sick kids running around. So If you're going for a simple checkup or physical your kids WILL get sick (this has happened). On top of that only 1 of the staff actually knows what's going on. You call for documents needed for your kids to goto school/daycare a few days later you're informed by the school that they only recieved 1 document out of 3 and they need them before you can bring the kids. Now you call the doctor and they say it will be sent again. 2 days later your kids still aren't in school because you're waiting on paperwork. I called at 330 and said my daycare is going to drop the kids if we don't have the paperwork in today they say no problem we'll send it now. This was at 330. Around 430 I was so upset they hadn't recieved the documents still that I decided to drive to the office and have them full it out. On my way I kept calling the office and no-one was answering. All of a sudden a car rear ends me while I'm leaving a voice mail for the office. I must admit getting hit by a car while leaving a voicemail wasn't in my plan and probably didn't sound too good for the listener. I called and left another voicemail that I was in a accident that could have been avoided by simply keeping YOUR WORD. I was highly upset and simply said that the doctor must be watching the kids on monday since they simply lied and said everything was sent. I made it to the office at 5 to find out they closed at 3 o clock that day. So why at 330 would they say they were sending it? The doctor calls yesterday and says she need to see the kids to send that paperwork....What is going on??? How was it being sent 3 times but now you need to see them? Oh and today i was informed that my kids can no longer been seen by this doctor because my voicemails were unprofessional........Its a joke save your time and find someone who doesn't just walk in the room for 3 mins and move into the next patient. And who has a professional courteous staff who cares about YOUR TIME as much as they do theirs. All 4 of my baby's have been her we absolutely love her she is awesome! Wouldn't want my children to see anyone else!

My daughter has been a patient of Dr Hammoud since birth. Both my daughter and I think very highly of her. She has a very pleasant bedside manner. She really cares about her patients and has competently treated my daughter over the years. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for pediatric care for their child.

Dr. Manar A. Hammoud - We had to switch doctors because ultimately when we really needed something done we were faced with a very stubborn front, unprofessional staff, and even patronized as parents. I had a full detail review written up but it's not worth it. We found a new doctor that really made our situation seem simple. If you are having issues with Dr. Hammoud or her staff just remember there are plenty of other doctors. It took about 5 minutes to switch our insurance over. Dr. Manar A. Dr. Hammoud is The best there is. Hands down! She has been my children's Dr. For over 15 years, and she is the most compassionate, caring and self made available Dr out there. Dr. Hammoud stands firming in what she believes to be the very best care for her patients. The well being and health of the children come first. Allowing parents to have 24-7 access to reaching her. She knows and remembers her patients and truly has a love for her career in giving....the very best medical care possible. I am one of the most picky, opinionate and out spoken Mother's out there, she gets that. She respects that. Dr. Hammoud is a doctor who is kind, caring and genuinely concerned about the welfare of her patients. She has been my youngest daughters doctor from the time my daughter was born and I have never had a more caring doctor and sincere doctor than her! She is more like family than just a doctor.

Attention New parents with a newborn...read this: In search for a pediatrician for our newborn son we stumbled upon Dr. Manar Hammoud's office. Her website boasts access to her office 24 hrs a day 7 days a week and shows and eagerness to accept new patients. Being a busy, working father this appealed to my schedule. However this claim could not be further from the truth. We scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hammoud on a Thursday & were greeted by her friendly staff upon arrival. Unfortunately their cheery disposition did not reflect the nature of the Dr. Who operates out of this facility. Dr. Hammoud spoke to us in a short, condescending, & rude nature. She did not seem eager to help us with the questions we had. In-fact, we felt as if we we're being reprimanded for asking questions. Additionally, we were redirected to a lab that same afternoon. We were told that Dr. Hammound needed to see us the following day @ 1:15pm. Although it was short notice and difficult with my work schedule we agreed. The next day around 11:30am we had been contacted by Dr. hammoud's office telling us that we needed to visit the lab again & return by 12.30pm. Not only is this OUTRAGEOUSLY short notice (especially for a working dad) it is a physical impossibility to make it from Morrice Mi (where my work is located) , to the lab in Fenton MI, complete the testing at the lab and return the results to Dr. Hammoud's office in Flint MI without a rocket-ship. Explaining this to her, after much negotiation and in an exasperated tone she agreed upon our original time of 1:15pm. Keep in mind we have a newborn, just over a week old. Being new parents we're still getting used to our new baby boy's schedule. Being caring parents we did our best to make sure that our boy's health and safety were accounted for. After a hastily preformed NASCAR pitstop style diaper change we were on the road with a clean baby with a clean diaper properly buckled into the infant setting in his car seat. Now, you would think that a PEDIATRICIAN of all people would be understanding of the obstacles a baby puts before a new parent. We were running 10 minutes late. We called ahead to Genesee Pediatrics to Dr. Manar Hammoud to let her know that we were running behind. Instead of thanking us for the courtesy call she instead reprimanded us for not being on time & in a ridiculous attempt to punish us, in her rude condescending tone told us to take our baby to emergency. Knowing that our baby was not in need of emergency medical attention we instead looked for other options. Since Dr. Manar Hammoud was unwilling to wait 10 minutes to see our baby boy we decided that we also couldn't wait another 10 minutes to find a new pediatrician. I couldn't see myself telling my son "ok, its time to go see grumpy ol' Dr. Hammoud for your appointment" If you have ANY other option I recommend you take it. Dr. Hammoud could stand to learn a lesson in common courtesy, manners & human decency. If I could rate negative stars i would. The one star rated on this review is at least 1 too many.
