Reviews for Dr. Mahmood Ghiyath Alnahass
Would give zero stars if possible. I hesitate to even address this person as "doctor". Went to him for a severe autoimmune disorder and he couldn't care less. 45 minutes late because Qdoba got delivered. Didn't care or even try to provide the right medicine. Staff was useless too. Please for your own good avoid this place. It should be and likely is criminal how bad of a doctor he is. Also, don't try and call for help because chances are you only will get an answering machine. ***Update*** within 2 hours of this review they answered 5 year old questions for the first time. Obviously they care more about reviews than patients. Would give zero stars if possible. I hesitate to even address this person as "doctor". Saw him a couple days ago. He did no testing, just made a decision about my cognitive abilities based on very little information from my wife. I will never go back to him and do not recommend him. He put no driving on my record, again based on no testing.
Doctor Omaha is awesome doctor .he gets your headaches gone and make you feel much better

If I could put 1/2 a star that would even be too high. Do yourself a favor and find a staff that is kind and cares that you get your treatment ON TIME. I was rescheduled multiple times due to errors on their end. Good luck with this office.
Dr. Alnahass actually LISTENS and asks questions. He's the only neurologist that I referred both my husband and my sister to. Phenomenal man! The staff is always very patient, helpful and understanding. They understand I'm having memory issues and make sure I've understood what I've been told. I highly recommend Dr Alnahass.
Dr. Alnahass and his entire staff are wonderful. Dr. Alnahass helped me when I wasn’t able to get the help I needed from other neurologists. He’s patient, kind, and really listens. He is effectively treating me for a neurological issue that was causing me to have a great deal of pain. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have found such an amazing doctor. I am also so appreciative of Dr. Alnahass’ staff. They are always so kind and helpful. One staff member truly stands out. Her name is Jill, and she is just an angel! She worked tirelessly to help me with an insurance issue concerning my medication. She truly went way above and beyond to help me. No other medical office staff member has ever done so much to help me. She really is that amazing! I’m so lucky - and grateful- I found Dr. Alnahass! Dr. Alnahass and his entire staff are wonderful. I am so very grateful that I found Dr. Alnahass. He helped me when other neurologists were not able to diagnosis my medical problem let alone treat it. He is patient, kind, and a great listener. Each time I visit him he listens attentively to me so that he can provide or maintain the best course of treatment for me. He has been able to effectively treat my medical issue, and I am so grateful to him for that. Dr. Alnahassâ staff members are also helpful, especially Jill. She is currently working diligently on getting an insurance issue resolved regarding a prescription. I have never had an office member work so hard for me. Jill is an Angel! Iâm so lucky that I found Dr. Alnahass! Heâs a wonderful neurologist who was determined from day one to help me. He has done just that.
After suffering for so long with severe neck and shoulder pain along with arm/ hand numbness and tingling I was finally referred to a neurologist. At my first appointment I didn't feel heard because I wasn't the dr. I said what is wrong with me is due to my neck!! I was told I was wrong and that it was carpal tunnel. I went back for an emg ( which I had to wait a long time) and it showed very minimal CTS. I was then referred to a hand surgeon who told me I need hand surgery to get better. I scheduled my surgery very quickly because I was sick of being in pain. After surgery I knew something was wrong and finally got back in. Two severed nerves and another surgery later I go back to see Dr. Alnahass and he had the audacity to say I probably never had carpal tunnel, it was something else. I was put on gabapentin for it to make me start having very dark thoughts so I took myself off of it. Now I am.being told that I have complex regional pain syndrome from the nerve damage caused by the botched surge. I started pain management and am now being treated like a pill seeker. I dont recommend any dr at this point. Be your own advocate!! I have a hand that has permanent loss off feeling and now maybe a disease that progresses and eventually will deteriorate muscles!! Also, I had an mri that did show it was my neck from the beginning and if it were treated none of this would be happening After suffering for so long with severe neck and shoulder pain along with arm/ hand numbness and tingling I was finally referred to a neurologist. My husband has been a patient since he took over for Dr Silberman. My only complaint is that it is impossible to talk to a human on the phone and I never get a return call. This is starting to become a real problem. Dr Alnahas is great and so is his staff if you don’t have to call for anything.
I am the primary caregiver for a elderly friend who we think is in the early stages of dementia based on referral from his primary care doctor to Dr Alnahass. My 1st impression wasn't good and isn't improving. After waiting 1.5hours for the initial consultation plus being told to arrive 30 minutes early we finally were shown to a room. Dr Alnahass came in, very rushed, spoke very fast and for the most part completely ignored the patient, stopping frequently to make verbal notes in a recording device. Dr Alnahass kept rapid firing questions at me (instead of asking the patient). All of this was very confusing to me & to my elderly friend. As a first time consultation I felt more time & care should have been spent with us especially since this was concerning a possible diagnosis for dementia. We were told we needed to have an MRI & that I would be called to schedule it by the hospital. 2 weeks no call, after much back & forth where I had to get down right rude with Dr Alnahass staff, the hospital finally had the right paper work & scheduled us the MRI. It was only then I learned Dr Alnahass had also requested a Brain Scan as well & then upon the day of testing learned he also needed blood work too. (We should have told all of this by Dr Alnahass during the consultation) His office staff is useless at best as now they insist on calling my elderly friend (instead of me) to confirm appointment via a automated system that he can't event begin to comprehend so they cancel his appointment, I call and clarify they are suppose to be calling me, which they are refusing to do (& yes we have filled out the proper HIPA forms to allow me access to all his records, etc. ).....We are DONE and will find a doctor that will give dementia patients the time, care, patience & consideration that he deserves. A doctor that will talk to his patient and not just ignore him during the visit. I'm writing this on behalf of a friend who is currently suffering from seizures. The doctor has only told him to "take more meds", which seem to be making things worse. There is no communication, no compassion, no HELP. My friend is truly suffering and living in fear. When he has tried to express this to the doctor, Dr. Alnahass straight-up ignores him and speaks into his little audio recorder. He has provided no clarity, advice, or relief to my friend who continues to have seizures which only seem to be getting worse. I really don't know what service this doctor is actually providing, because my friend hasn't gotten any answers as to the cause or nature of these seizures. He is living in constant anxiety and fear not knowing what is happening (or what will happen), and frankly, Dr. Alnahass' lack of communication and care seems to have only made this worse. Can you imagine? I'm furious. I'm writing this on behalf of a friend who is currently suffering from seizures. The doctor has only told him to "take more meds", which seem to be making things worse. I would Recommend him it is his staff I wouldn't. I have been denied my medication and the staff said they filed an appeal on my behalf. THEY LIED! I find myself on 2/17/2021 and then they faxed in the same paperwork that got the medication denied in the first place. Never stated that I tried the other medications on the list left that blank. And some of the medications on the list I am allergic to. What the hell is wrong with this office staff?? I praised this staff and doctor for finally getting my life back. Now you want to take it away from me. What the hell did I do to you guys????
Dr is thorough and attentive. I’ve had migraines for 35 years and he was finally going to get an mri. Unfortunately everytime I call to make an appt. I get voicemail. No one has answered the phone in 3 months. I get tired of leaving voicemails. Then it’s still 4-6 weeks before I can be seen as an established patient. Office staff was not very friendly. I showed up at my appointment time, maybe 3 minutes late and the girl preceded to tell me that I was late and I may have to reschedule, the clock on the wall in the office said I was right on time, receptionist said she doesn’t go by that clock. Continuing to argue about what time it was she finally signed me in. So I guess if you can fight your way through the office staff, leaving voicemails and possibly getting a callback you might get along great here. The dr is great! Don’t expect to get an appointment to soon. Three weeks was the soonest I could get in with trigeminal neuralgia. Dr ?????????? Office staff ??

Extremely knowledgeable, caring, and puts you at ease. Helped 2 family members. Wish he was on my insurance when I needed a neurologist. One of the nicest doctors I've ever met.
Your receptionist is beyond rude!!! I'll take my health care elsewhere. Thanks, for the worst first impression ever!
The best neurologist I have ever seen. He is excellent and treated me with dignity and respect.
I just recently switched over to Dr. Alnahass he seems very caring, and very willing to take time out to look into a patient's history before just switching everything up at another Doctor's request.
DR. ALANHASS IS A CARING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE NEUROLOGIST. He is attentive and actually listens to me. When he asks me a question, he listens to my response, then gives me an explanation for what my problem may be. Which is what a doctor should do. Whoever thinks this man is arrogant or rude, is so very wrong. We are all not 100% everyday. I would recommend him to anyone who needed to see a neurologist. My last neurologist, who retired, never laid a hand on me after my first initial appointment. I would come in, he would flip thru my file and then ask anything new. I'd say no and his response "OK, then I will see you in 3 months". Really? Dr Alanhass is not at all like that. He asks me questions and keeps great notes from each visit. DR ALANHASS IS AWESOME!!!!
He seems to be a very good person and Doctor
For the last 2 months I have called several times and haven't been able to get any where by phone . I eventually had to go in to the office just to get the information I needed which caused me to have to go out of my way to get that info.

Dr. Silverman is the best neurologist you want. He is very thorough and to the point. I want a Dr who is honest.
If you need a neurologist why not go for the best. Very knowledgeable doctor and staff. They have always been helpful. Make your appointments early and keep them.

I was admitted to St. May's in Hobart. This doctor was the rudest doctor I have ever met. Not only was he rude, when I received my records, there were so many out right lies, I couldn't even count-Simply leaving my husband and I flabbergasted.

Was in patient, and seen by many physicians. Dr. Alnahass' literal bedside manner was awful. He wanted to run a series of unwarranted tests, and did not know WHY I was hospitalized.
