Dr. Mahalia Dorothy Smith

I went to Dr. Smith with an incision that would not heal after a surgery. She was professional in every way and I am delighted with the results. She also went out of her way to refer me to TIRR for another problem I was having. I wish all doctors were as friendly, concerned and professional.

My Husband was treated by Dr. Smith for a pressure ulcer on his heel. Dr. Smith was thorough which resulted in a consultation with a vascular surgeon to learn of vascular issues inhibiting the ulcer to heal. It was a very slow process and Dr. Smith saw my husband regularly to monitor the healing process.

I went to see Dr. Smith for a wound on my finger. She was so informative and all her staff was fantastic. Nora, Tonya and Gabriela were fantastic! I felt so relieved once I left, she told me it would be a process and to be patient. She was so attentive, answered all my questions and took all the time I needed. Two separate bills, one for the Doctor's visit and a separate bill for a treatment room. Coverage was BCBS and charges were exorbitant. Insurance charged repeatedly. One time the treatment room charge was almost $1,400. Another $900. No logical reason for exorbitant charges.

Dr Mahalia D Smith is a great doctor! She is Very kind and knowledgeable. I am glad I got treatment from her.

Dr. Mahalia was so sweet and comforting. She listened to all my concerns and was able to help me with a chronic wound I had for years. I traveled from San Antonio to Houston just to visit her. She has a wonderful staff - all very friendly and sweet as well. Nurse Tanya especially was very warm and welcoming. I felt they genuinely cared about me as they easily remembered me after my first visit - not only my condition, but also about events in my personal life. Would highly recommend Dr. Mahalia
