When my son was born at Ochsner, we knew only of his heart condition being fatal. As we sat recuperating from the open heart surgery at two days of life, we learned he would have to come home on a vent and a track. We learned he had a degenerative liver condition. It seemed impossible that this kid could come home. But Dr. Luti didn't give up. She ordered extensive testing to find out all that was wrong and get us a plan of care. Over 7 years later, he's still with us & she was his best advocate
