Dr De La Cruz is an amazing breast surgeon! You simply will not find someone more skilled or compassionate anywhere. She is extremely approachable and you will never feel rushed. In addition, her clinical judgement is amazing and in the operating room she is technically phenomenal. I am myself a breast surgeon so I know who is the best in our field and Dr De La Cruz is it! When I was myself diagnosed with breast cancer, I could have chosen anyone, anywhere - I traveled over 3 hours to see Dr De La Cruz. If she lived on the other side of the world I would have traveled there. She is superwoman and if you need a breast surgeon you simply cannot find anyone better!

I went to Dr. De La Cruz for a second opinion and ended up switcing my surgical oncology care to her. She's compassionate, accommodating, and thorough. She used visuals to help explain everything to me, and most importantly, I trust her. Highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr. Lucy De La Cruz after something was found on my mammogram. She and all nurses and staff were wonderful! Dr. De La Cruz took time to explain everything that was going to happen moving forward. She answered every question and took her time with me. I would recommend her to anyone.

I had a single mastectomy in January 2020 with Dr. De La Cruz. She is an awesome breast surgeon, skillful and compassionate. She graciously welcomed my husband, daughters and myself in her office and patiently answered all our questions. She clarified various steps and the surgery on my breast with charts and nice drawings. She first encouraged me to consider reconstruction, but after carefully listening to my reasons for not wanting any reconstruction, she heart fully supported my choice. She is very personal and gave me her private cellular phone number. I texted her twice after the surgery and she texted me back within minutes. Her nurse navigator, Kay, kindly coordinated my numerous appointments and the surgery date, and also called me when necessary. Gabriella was also helpful with appointments. Minna, one of the nurse practitioners, removed the drain earlier than anticipated, and I did not feel any pain at all. Dr. De La Cruz and her team are among the best!

I just hope everyone has as wonderful an experience with their surgeons as I had with Lucy. I am 38 years old, and when I found out I had breast cancer, I was so upset. My radiologist had worked with Lucy and highly recommended her. My experience with her: easy to understand communication style, she acrually texts you personally, she did a flawless partial mastectomy and sentinel scout lymph biopsy. Then, she followed up and stayed in touch with through my ivf and chemo processes. Awesome MD.
