I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pau for over ten years, since he was recommended to me by my neurologist. I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable and professional in treating my medical problems. In addition, everyone on his staff has been courteous, helpful, and responsive to my needs, especially Pumehana. I would highly recommend Oahu Pain Care to you. They are the best!

The staff is super friendly. Visits are prompt. Follow up is precise. Treatments are helpful.

Dr. Pau is truly honest, caring and very knowledgeable in his specialty of care. He is straight forward and explains your condition and treatment plans at a level you can understand. Office staff is very courteous, friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Thank you for being upfront and honest.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Office neat and clean. Dr. Pau is very caring and takes the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment options, and ensures the patient understands. Very skilled physician. I recommend Dr. Pau to my family and friends.

What a smart, caring, and honest physician. I trust Dr. Pau and I appreciate his honesty. He sets treatment goals that are reasonable and based on standards of care. More importantly, he listens and explains to a level that I understand. The staff are so kind and accommodating.

Sadly, Dr. Pau did NOTHING to help with my PAIN, from being rear ended in a 3 car accident. On visit #1, he told me I should already be healed, 5 months after the accident. He stopped the Tramadol (pain medication) that was helping, stopping it cold turkey. This resulted in my getting extremely nauseous for several weeks. He questioned my pain level (8-9), ended the PT that was helping, closed my case without all records from treating doctors, never considered my viewpoint on the accident

If you come to ASK more meds from Dr Pau you'll be disappointed. But if you come for relief and hear honest advice about your condition that sometimes may not sounds nice (pain messes up your judgment), he is the man. He knows pain. He emphatize and truly work with you to find a solution. And it helps that Dr Pau is an expert in his field. By the way he talks and explains, he knows pain like a back of his hand.

I have seen Dr.Pau for years now. He helps me a lot with my epidural injections I get due to chronic pain after L-4/L-5 s1 fusion many years ago. His staff has always been nice to me, got me in 95% in right away. I like his sense of humor too, as when your in pain you just want relief and a laugh helps a lot after! I highly recommend him.

The likelihood of recommending him to anyone is HIGHLY unlikley. I was referred to his clinic for pain management and explained to him the chronic pain I experience on a day to day basis. He listened to my concerns then said I won't benefit off of any anesthesia because he seen nothing wrong with me through MRI and CT scan. Then opted that I go see a chiropractor (medical doesn't cvr) and took me off the Percocet (only thing that gave me relief. And said to use IBU Profein and Tylenol.

Great Dr. Professional, efficient and great sense of humor. Clean and cool office. Great Staff. Sometimes a wait but small price to pay for a Great Dr. that travels to Hilo From Honolulu. I'm feeling so much better since my treatments from Dr. Pau. Better quality of Life!!!
