Fantastic office staff. Dr. Haenel was very knowledgeable and spent the time needed to go over details and explain things throughly to us. Great experience.

It was an excellent visit. Dr. Haenel is extremely though and very knowledgeable. He explains everything in detail to his patients. I would highly recommend him.

I love doctor Haenel!! I’ve been his patient since 2017 and from my first visit I knew I was going to be happy with him. You can tell he really cares about his patients and loves what he does. Would definitely refer and recommend him!!

My experience has been fabulous! Dr Haenel does not rush my appointments and takes the time to discuss any concerns. As a type 1 diabetic for almost 50 years, I am so impressed and so happy I found him

I waited 5 months to see Dr. Handel and was excited when my time arrived. I was so disappointed by his rude, arrogant, and condescending manner. I will not be returning! Fortunately, I found another doctor who is pleasant during your visit. I wish I had read the reviews before waiting 5 months and then having to find another specialist!

Dr. Haenel has been successful in keeping my thyroid numbers under control with regular checkups. I also admire him for his work mentoring developing interns.

Condescending, arrogant, did not listen to concerns. Only concerned with basic numbers, not willing to look deeper or investigate complexities. Does not see clients as individuals. Scoffed when I asked questions -- will not return.

I don’t have problem with Dr. Louis at all, but I have problem with the representatives. So rude and mean. I’m sorry but I don’t need you guys. Bye bye, I’ll transfer to another endocrinology doctor.

Have tried several times to contact this office. Busy everyday I called. Sit for a long time waiting for someone to answer

Doctor Haenel is great. He listens and treats you with respect. The only problem I have had is getting my medications called into the pharmacy. I know the doctor doesn't do this so I am not sure why it has been such a problem. I still don't have my monitor, strips or medication and it's been over a week since my appointment. The pharmacy and I have called his office everyday since my appointment. Still waiting. Doctor Haenel is great. He listens and treats you with respect. Dr. Haenel is an excellent physician who cares for his patients and their health. He keeps current with the latest treatment options, has a superb bedside manner, and examines his patients in totality making referrals when he identifies issues outside of his area of expertise. His caring nature during the long illness of my husband was so comforting during that horrible time. He is the first physician to assist me in meeting my weight loss and blood sugar management goals. Rude, condescending, doesn't listen to the patient's concerns and just looks at the number . Told me swelling feet and head had nothing to do with Endocrinology although my growth hormone has been elevated for over 2 years. Told me I was subclinical and most was all in my head. I switched endocrinologists that I sought out and was told within 15 minutes after an ultrasound that I had Hashimoto's and a nodule which is now cancer. Not happy!Feel ripped off! $ 375 is a lot of money pay to be talked down too and treated like I don’t know anything or that my observations don’t count. Any good mom would recognize when their child is overcome with a disease that is attacking their child. The nurse support staff is horrendous and there is no communication to the patient as promised either. My daughter asked for a referral closer to home which never came through all summer long. I drove over 2 hours to attend this appointment and there are Endocrinologists who are taking patients 30 minutes from my home. I have been going to him for over a year. He is an awesome doctor. I schedule my appointments 6 months in advance but still have to wait over 45 minutes to be seen.

Caring doctor and staff!

My visit with doctor Haenel was great.

Very patient and clearly explains the diagnosis. Personable and thorough.

He listens and truly cares about his patients. Compassionate and caring. Awesome!

Both visits were conducted via telephone and were informative. Although no definitive diagnosis was reached concerning my issue the fact that I seemed to be healthy, per the test conducted off site, was reassuring.

As a new resident of South Carolina and a retired senior citizen I was faced with the daunting task of finding competent medical care for several disciplines. One was an endocrinologist to manage my thyroid condition. After extensive research I decided to test Dr. Haenel's abilities. I have now had two visits with Dr. Haenel and I am impressed with his knowledge and grasp of the field of endocrinology. He displays a broad view of the medical field and extensive technical expertise in endocrinology. He is attentive and an excellent listener taking the time to evaluate and explain. My visit faith Dr Haenel was to discuss a new diagnosis. He was knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation to me

He explained the results all the tests he ordered on my daughter very well. He gave us both plenty of time for questions.

Was referred to this group quite a few years ago with possible thyroid issue. How lucky was old me that I was scheduled with Dr. H. He is personable.. obviously skilled .. and one of the best traits in my book.. he is conservative in treatment options. I was told several years before that, by my gyn , that I needed a surgeon... a thyroidectomy! Knowing that is nothing to be taken lightly... I asked our internist.. another Superman in our book. Biopsies for several years and regular blood levels did not show any need for drastic measures. When blood levels did spike.. I was told to see Dr. H. I definitely appreciate his concern, his wonderful "bedside" manner, intellect. and that he is younger than I am.. so he will be around until I am pushing up daisies!

My first visit and I was impressed Dr Haenel his concern, his listening skills and his knowledge.

I finally found an endocrinologist that takes the time to talk to me, answer my questions, and doesn''t prescribe medication if not truly needed.

Professional, prompt, patient, and personable. Feel extremely confident he has my best interest in mind. All you would want in a physician. Highly suggest!

As a new patient with Dr Louis Hanel, he spent time getting to know me and my medical history. He was informative and explained in detail my diagnosis and treatment. He made sure to answer any questions I had before I left the office. I appreciated his attention to detail and all explanations.

Fabulous doctor! I never felt rushed, he answered all of my questions and offered great insight on some changes I could make. He was thorough going over my history and explaining the why and how behind things. His nurse assistant was also very kind!

My experience was a nightmare. It took 6 mo nths to get the 1st appt. then the office staff screw that up. Front office is very rude & unprofessional. Drill Sargent office manager changes your appts & tell you what you going to take or it will be 6 mo wait again. Your record show you cancel appt. when actually they cancel the appt on me. I thought DrHaneal was amazing my 1st visit. till I finally had my 2nd visit. Dr was very cold & couldn’t get out fast enough. I want go back.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR!!!!! Terrible bedside manner!! I have never had a doctor talk down to me the way he did. Then he tried to tell me that my thyroid gland wasn't causing my symptoms. Thank God I found another doctor that would actually help me.

I was so happy after my appointment today with Dr. Haenel. He listened and has amazing bedside manner. He was the first doctor that I have found that truly listened and was so helpful. What a obnoxious Doctor. Never go to him, he has the worst bed side manner. I would not let him treat my dog.

Honestly, this is the first doctor to actually read my entire medical history BEFORE my appointment. For once I wasn't just describing my health, he gave wonderful insights that other physicians had completely missed! Very thankful1

My experience was helpful, informative, kind and made comfortable by everyone. Dr. Haenel was so impressive and available, I am choosing him as my new endocrinologist. I have had uncontrolled blood sugars for 10yrs. In 2 weeks following Dr. Haenel's suggestions , my blood sugar is well on its way to WNL.

Somewhat arrogant, condescending when he talks with you. I was not impressed. I felt I have left my diabetes in an unconcerning physician who feels he knows everything and I have not much of a say so. I found someone else and will be transferring my records to them. Office took almost two weeks in getting back to me about an apt after I was dismissed from ER . Told me I had to wait three months since I have not seen him in a while. This was coming out of the ER with over 600 blood sugar.
