Dr Meredith Davenport did my FAA medical this month and was top notch, from welcoming overview of the process to final sign off. Communication was excellent, and the various areas examined were done in a professional and orderly manner. Would say that the experience was one of the best in over 50 years of flying for a professional pilot with 5 figures of flight time. Highly recommend.

Dr. Davenport is very kind and respectful. He cares about his patients and their goals in the Aviation industry. Although it is his job to look for disqualifying factors on behalf of the FAA. He will not discourage to stop trying. In the end the final word comes from FAA and not Dr. Davenport himself. Dr. Davenport will only give requested information to the FAA. Anything extra that they did not request for doesn't have to be brought to light. If you get deferred it is not the end of the world. Dr. Davenport is many steps ahead of the FAA and will tell you what needs to be done next. When Dr. Davenport asks if you have any further questions. Take your time and make sure to ask everything on the spot because he's a wealth of knowledge and he has other patients lined up. I highly recommend you sign up for his "Case Management" services during your visit and not later!

Dr. Davenport has built a simply flawless process to obtain your FAA medical certificate, from the scheduling/re-scheduling process, to the expeditious yet thorough medical exam, to providing employers the new certificate (if required). Dr. Davenport is a fantastic AME. He’s very personable and efficient - and given that his “other job” is Air Force F16 instructor pilot, he understands better than just about any other doc how important flying is to you. It’s easy to schedule an appointment through his website. I would not hesitate to recommend him to fellow pilots.

Davenport is excellent; prepared, knowledgeable and professional. Equipment and office first class. This was my second renewal examination for a Third Class but any pilot would be well served to work with Davenport, especially since those out of the Austin area can fly into KAUS for the appointment. The best FAA medical experience in over 35 years of flying!

Did an FAA class I with Dr Davenport. I went to him under the recommendation of a friend from work. I had been seeing my other Dr for almost 20 years and was a little reluctant to change. After my appointment I have decided to see Dr Davenport as my new FAA AME. He was very friendly and outgoing, very personable and engaging. Thank you to him for the nice visit, and I’ll see him again in 6 months.

This was not the typical flight physical that I am accustomed to. Dr. Davenport was professional, courteous and friendly. He took time, after the examination, to explain the process of getting my medical reinstated. I highly recommend Dr. Davenport.

When that time rolls around every year (six months after 40!) for a Class 1 Flight Physical I recommend Doc Davenport. He understands the physical demands on a pilot because he is a pilot. Not just a pilot but an F-16 Instructor pilot with the Texas Air Guard. He understands the demands of multitasking and physical fitness.
