I have taken my child to see Dr. Rider multiple times for an expert opinion. I am forever grateful for the time she took in her evaluations, the phone calls she has made to his physicians and the care she gave my son.

Dr. Rider went above and beyond in her care of my son. She corresponds with his local drs for his treatment plan. I emailed her in an emergency once at 10pm and she was calling me to help and correspond treatment within minutes. She is truly an amazing doctor that dedicated her life to her patients and others as well through the numerous research studies she leads. We are so grateful to Dr. Rider for all she has done in helping to give our son his health back!!

Dr. Rider was very thorough in her evaluation of my daughter and thoughtful in her opinions. She spent time with us and answered all of our questions. She is committed and generous with her time and knowledge. She confirmed for us that our local rheumatologist was on the correct treatment path for my daughter.

Dr. Rider was life changing for my son. She has a wealth of knowledge and devotes her life to trying to find better treatments for children. She can be abrupt and scientific in her approach, but her heart is always in the right place.

My son went to see Dr. Rider in October. We learned alot about JDM. She even gave us the Myositis book to help us through this journey.

I cant say enough about Dr Rider. Without her help, I do not think that my Daughter would still be here with us. Dr Rider goes above and beyond to help her patients, and she is extremely thorough and professional. As a Mother of a Medically Complex Warrior, I would highly recommend Dr Rider to be on your "Medical Team."

She’s extremely intelligent and the expert in the field of Juvenile Myositis. We trust her guidance when it comes to treating our children. So excited for the amount of time she spends researching for a cure. We are glad to have Dr Rider working alongside our rheumatologist.

We had a very frustrating medical journey with my daughter's JDM diagnosis. We did not feel heard or well-cared for until our visit with Dr. Lisa Rider at NIH. Like many extremely intelligent people, Dr. Rider is a wiz with all things related to JDM but has a reserved interpersonal style. More important than an effusive personality, Dr. Rider has a nuanced grasp of this complex disease and the variety of complications it can cause in its patients. I wish we could have had the benefit of Dr. Rider's expertise earlier in the course of my daughter's disease. Dr. Rider's suggestions and treatment plan have made a huge difference in my daughter's care. She is a doctor with answers.

My son recently saw Dr Rider and while she is extremely intelligent in her work she lacks personality and was extremely rude to me. After spending over $2,000 to fly across the country to come see her and get answers, I was a bit saddened by the way she treated her patients parents. I don’t know that I would make that same trip unless it was our last resort.

She may have the credits, but she lacks everything else.
