Dr. Blackrick took such great care of when I fractured my shoulder! She is an expert Ortho Trauma Surgeon. I have been in the medical industry 35+ years with 22 of those years in Anesthesia. I would recommend without reservation!! Excellent care!

I am 8 months out from my car accident. I sustained a compound fracture- broken tibia and fibula. The ambulance took me to Memorial Hospital because that’s where traumas are taken. I arrived at 9:00 pm and they did not operate on me until the next morning. Dr Blackrick did my surgery and I have still never met her. She never showed up for ANY follow up exam- never talked to me and when I asked for her to call me she never did. At my 7 month X-ray a young PA told me I had not healed, my ankle was not aligned and I will now need another surgery to re-do everything. Again, I waited an extra month for that appt so I could be sure to meet Blackrick. She was a no-show again. I’m sure he staff must have told her how I left there in sobbing tears and devastated at the news. They made my follow up appt for 3 weeks later!!! I’ve not heard from anyone since. How can a surgeon not follow up with me or never lay eyes on me after such a traumatic surgery and long healing process- or should I say - “non” healing. I am 8 months out from my car accident. Dr. Blackrick treated my mother when she fell. After SIX months of PT, on one side only, my mother continued to complain each time I took her. Finally my mother requested at least 1 MRI which the dr approved to find out my mother had a pretty bad tear in her right shoulder (rotator cuff). When my mother told her the other side was also in a lot of pain, Dr told her it was referred pain. She also told us that she doesn’t handle anything with shoulders. So why treat her??? We decided to go to our regular orthopedic surgeon and my mother had tears in BOTH sides. And as of today 2 years later still struggling because she was given the wrong direction initially. I do NOT recommend this dr.

Dr Blackrick is explains your condition in detail, and options. She was my Daughters Orthopedic surgeon for her ankle and mine for a elbow fracture. I recommend her highly.

I would not recommend any other orthopedic surgeon. Lisa is easy to talk to and explains things very well and is very honest. She is a very good surgeon and would highly recommend her!
