15 years ago yesterday, Dr Chen transplanted my son's liver giving him a second chance at life. Jacob was one of the early victims of doctor-facilitated opiate addiction for long-term pain management. Today Jacob is doing amazingly well and fully appreciates his 2nd chance, opiate free for 15 years. Dr. Chen fought for my son while at Loma Linda against much pressure to the contrary, and believed that his youth would carry him through. It did. This woman is a brilliant surgeon, advocate, and warrior. We are so grateful. Thanks Linda, Jacobs dad.
