He fused the wrong vertebrae in my neck. Now I have the same issues that brought me to him, with the added fun of loss of range of motion. The best part is, no other neurosurgeon will touch it because of the heightened chance of full paralysis.

I had relief from most of the right leg pain but my complaints of intense pain in my low back accompanied with my dizziness fell on deaf ears.I had even had as much low back pain i tried to cause pain in my hand by punching the side of my hospital bed.Dr.Hellbusch came hours later and i asked why it hurt so much.He only said "The surgery was a success and left.my condition did not improve and i forced myself through pain and imbalance on my 2nd try to get past the stair climbing test the O.T. watched me struggle through.My fusion has never fused and 18 months post TLIF Dr.Hellbusch diagnosis before his retirement after looking at THE CT And MRI w dye."Nothing further needed"A non VA Orthopedic surgeon Gave me a diagnosis with these same Images "Grossly misplaced pedicle screw.Without consideration to his patient's health that is at risk due to the psuedoarthritis caused by implant failure Misplacement of pedicle screws bilaterally At L5.And still at risk in increased pain.Why?

Dr Hellbusch has performed Cervical Spine Surgery 2 times. Fusing and plating numerous cervical vertebrae. Outstanding Doctor/Surgeon.
