Very helpful very respectful

Dr. Foshag is great. He is rarely on time but when he gets there you have his undivided attention and your care is the priority. He spends time and you do not feel rushed at all. This is very important to me, because I know he is addressing everything I am concerned about. He is great about explaining what is happening and what is going to happen.

I have been seeing Dr Foshag since 2017 when I was diagnosed with melanoma by my dermatologist and referred. Dr Foshag's staff have always been extremely caring and respectful. Dr Foshag himself has always taken his time to discuss my life in general and my medical problems specifically. In my opinion he is the living epitome of what a good physician should be.

Firstly, the one bad thing is that there is only one St. John's and only one Dr. Foshag; For the whole world to share.By request I gave my only friend another batch of Dr. Foshag's business cards for my friend's Cancer support group.Being provided, by this Provider, the ability to fight this terminal illness on my own terms seems desirable and empowering;even enviable to some in the same boat as I am in. I do not know how many more miles I have left before I sleep but I am eternally grateful to St. John's Hospital and this provider for letting me choose the path to my own journey.

A fantastic surgical oncologist who truly cares about his patients. He's taken time out of evenings and weekends to call and check in on me before and after surgery. As much as I hope you never need his services, if you do I'd highly recommend him.

Dr. Foshag saved my husband’s life. He treated him for metastatic melanoma, and stayed one step ahead of this aggressive disease, even though it spread to my husband’s brain, back, and intestines. Although he is an exceptional surgical oncologist, he also made suggestions about other treatment options like immunotherapy and vaccines. Stage 4 melanoma is terrifying. But Dr. Foshag took on the role of “quarterback” and my husband has been in remission for years. He cares about all of his patients.

Dr Foshag did my breast biopsy many years ago. He had excellent beside manner. I took his time and explained everything to me. Two years later after my surgery-- you could barely see any scarring. And I never had to come back. He did a much better job than the first surgeon who had performed the same type of surgery in the other breast. I trust and highly recommend him and he would be my first choice if I ever needed a surgeon again.
