She is horrible!!! Her bedside manner was not that of a “doctor" who took an oath to care for others. She was rude and could care less about my medical concerns and when my visit was over, I left without any further medical attention or testing and still in pain in two areas on concern which I’ve had for two months now. She doesn't even deserve the one star listed above. She is very bullish and fought me on every medical concern and question I had and when I called her on it, she left the room and slammed the door behind her. How about that treatment from someone who calls herself a doctor? Even during a worldwide pandemic, she clearly demonstrated that her empathy and compassion for the sick clearly did not matter and I DO NOT recommend her!!! I’m just another patient that wishes they could give zero stars and also left her office crying. I also feel like seeing physicians like her and her nurse practitioner are how you get tangled up in insurance fraud. This was the worst. The absolute. Also, don’t go here for an annual physical they will simple not conduct one and they will charge you instead for supervises that they don’t actually provide. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. If I could give Dr. Roberts less than a star, I would. I have been a patient at her office for a little less than a year, and have visited on a couple occasions regarding some different concerns about my physical and mental health. I have always seen Alissa, her NP, in the office - Alissa is friendly and kind, but I never left the office feeling like I had any real answers to my questions (more of a "let's wait and see" approach). This week, I requested a video visit with Dr. Roberts herself for an ongoing issue I have been having since seeing Alissa in January. Dr. Roberts was cold and cruel during our video call, saying things to me that include (verbatim) "this just sounds like a list of complaints", "in medicine, we deal with things that could actually kill you", and "what I want to know is why you're so desperate". I hung up from the video call feeling shamed and humiliated. I will NOT be returning to Dr. Roberts' office and I hope I can convince others to avoid this treatment at all costs - no one needs to feel bullied by their doctor when seeking help for problems that already have them feeling down. Alissa and her staff are always very polite and helpful. Easy to schedule & get in and out, would recommend.

Should have listened to the reviews on here. I booked a visit here because it was in my network and right by my house. I walked in and nobody was in the office for awhile. Sat there until someone came to the desk, then I was seen for 15 minutes. I got a bill in the mail for almost $300 a week later. They charge more than double what my other doctors charge for a regular visit. Do not go here; it's a joke. Should have listened to the reviews on here. Unwilling to help, unprofessional office, and definitely not suited for care. I made an appointment with this office because I didn't have a PCP and was involved in a car accident 1 week prior. I am also 37 weeks pregnant. I should've known when I was able to get an appointment for the next day that there would be issues. When I arrived at the parking garage, it took 12 minutes to get to the top floor where there were parking spots available. I received a call from the office as I was in the elevator heading down as it was then 5 minutes past my appointment time. Cell phones do not work in elevators so I wasn't able to answer. When I got into the office it was 10 after. The receptionist told me that she removed me from the schedule because I was 10 minutes late and still needed to register. I told her that I registered online but that didn't matter...not sure why the option of registering online is there for. She said she needed to talk to the doctor to see if she could still see me. When she came back, she said that I needed to register so they would need me to come back later. I drove 25 minutes to get there so I had no time to come back later just because she was trying to prove a point. The day before, when I made the appointment for 10am, they had 10:20, 10:40 and 11am available so I'm sure she could've seen me but again was trying to prove her point. There was also no one in the office waiting. I wasn't trying to put myself ahead of anyone and would've waited because I was late but just being offered to come back later is unprofessional and rude. Clearly this doctor and her staff are just lazy. Maybe a better way of handling these situations would be to explain the parking situation when someone calls to make an appointment like other offices. Or maybe just some simple compassion would be the answer. Either way, I scheduled with another doctor at Rush. Don't waste your time with this office. Everyone here is friendly, they take lots of time with each individual patient, and the care you get here is top-notch!

Dr.Leigh Roberts is one of the best Primary Care Physicians in Chicago, she is a dedicated physician that will help find answers. Dr. Roberts is the go to doctor. Availability is amazing .

I've been going to Dr. Roberts for about a decade now and I can not recommend her practice highly enough. The entire staff is friendly and caring. The facility is clean, quiet, comfortable and easily accessible. Dr. Roberts stays up to date on the most recent information on medications and has helped me find the right diagnosis on many occasions. They are always able to accommodate an urgent need and are on time with regularly scheduled appointments. This is an amazing place! Unmotivated, dismissive, unthorough exam, doesn’t do labs for physicals. Didn’t want to check my blood sugar even when my last test showed I was in diabetic range. There is a reason you can get in so fast for an appointment and her office is empty, nobody goes back to her. Didn’t even have me get into a gown for a physical. Didn’t see the point in basic blood tests like CBC and cholesterol. She fought me on every problem I brought up, the only thing she seemed motivated to do was dismiss my concerns. RUN AWAY! Incompetent doesn't even describe this horrible human being. You're better off throwing your money down the drain. I went in today for bug bites on my foot that has made my ankle swollen to twice its size. While there I told her a referral she gave me months ago in which the Doctor over medicated me and landed me in the ER with those doctors baffled at my treatment and dosage. Dr Roberts actually said "that has nothing to do with me. I refer everyone out most doctors do, like for your foot, most people would have referred you out". So I guess I should be grateful? She takes zero responsibility. If you want someone who can affirm you need fluids and rest for the common cold this one's for you. Anything else, run don't walk to someone that still gives a damn. I've come to Dr. Roberts a couple times per year for the last 2-3 years. Each time I've come in to her, it has not been a comfortable experience. I almost never go to the doctor for ailments, so I am not a hypochondriac by any stretch of the imagination, but Dr. Roberts led me to believe that an uncomfortable pain I was having in my hands was purely psychological and wouldn't even entertain the idea that there was any way to fix it. She behaved as though I were ridiculous for even bringing it up. Beyond that, I scheduled an appointment recently with her for my annual exam for birth control. I stressed to the receptionist that I was taking time off from work for this appointment and that I needed to get the exam before going overseas for a few months. They confirmed that I could do this and scheduled an appointment. I rearranged my entire work schedule and got last-minute time off for it. They then called me only a few hours before my appointment to tell me that my appointment would be cancelled because the doctor wanted to leave early today. I'm now stranded trying to find another doctor who will take me in during the only time I could request off from work to handle this issue, in just a few hours. The receptionist also told me when cancelling the appointment that it's "too early" for me to get my annual exam despite the fact that I made a point of confirming with her while scheduling that having the exam slightly early would not be an issue since I was going to be overseas. First of all I should have read the reviews before putting myself through this mess with Dr. Roberts and her office. I work in the medical field and directly with patents and this office and staff have no clue what they are doing. Before coming to the office I made sure 3 times that they took my insurance and was told every time, YES. Upon meeting with Dr. Roberts for my second visit that was for a physical exam she was so unprofessional. She made the whole appointment about how if I wanted my anxiety prescription filled she would have to send me to a psychiatrist. I didn't come to the office to hear about your beliefs and how you practice medicine or how awful my original doctor is. I just had moved to Chicago at the time and have had the same doctor who I trust back home my whole life. She talked so poorly about how he was wrong for giving me a drug that will make me addicted. She then wrote me a prescription as an alternative. I took the medication as directed and felt so off that I became depressed and started having suicidal thoughts. I immediately called my doctor and he told me to not take what she had prescribed and to continue my original medication. I knew I would never go back to her or her office. As much as I was angered, I decided not to write a negative review and just move on with my life. Two months ago I got a bill in the mail for $300 for visits that weren't covered by my insurance because her office in fact didn't accept it. Keep in mind my first appointment was in July of 2017, so why am i just now finding out about this? Then going back and forth through the office and their collection department for the last two months. Their has been zero follow up from her office but they said that they would bring my payment down to $100. The collection department (Jeff) said to wait on paying the balance because something didn't seem right. This was two weeks ago and still no follow up for either of them. Came home today a got a bill in the mail for $300. I will do everything in my power to run this doctor and her practice who should be out of business into the ground. While Dr. Roberts may not have the warmest bedside manners, she is friendly, caring, and most importantly, knowledgeable. What other reviewers have described as "dismissive of concerns", I would describe as "not alarmist". This means that she saves the patient money because she doesn't order unnecessary tests. Like another reviewer, she wouldn't renew my prescription without me coming in first since it had been over a year since my last visit - I came in and she explained that she wanted to make sure I still needed the medication at its current dosage given that a lot can happen in a year both good and bad. I have found the front desk staff to be warm and friendly and the atmosphere when you enter is unlike any other doctor's office I've been to (in a good way). I would highly recommend Dr. Roberts. If you want a honest no nonsense doctor Leigh is the best. If you a touchy-feely doc, move on.

On time, attentive and always makes me feel less anxious. I highly recommend Dr. Roberts.

She never sees you, only her intern actually patients. She messed up a test and then wanted me to come in again and pay a second time to have the test done AGAIN. She doesn't listen or care about patients well being.

I arrived for a 12:40 appointment at 12:42 and the lights were off and the doors were locked. Extremely disappointing.

Is the worst. She is not only cold and uncaring, but she boldly lied to me about refilling a prescription when I was in need because she had not seen me in over a year.

Awful awful awful Doctor. Does not listen to you or take you seriously. Makes you feel like you're making things up. Extremely rude. Honestly I don't know how she's still in business.

Dr. Roberts was extremely rude to me. I was making a simple request to forward my medical records, and she took the phone from the helpful receptionist and proceeded to demean and dismiss my request. Dr Roberts has more than once dismissed or minimized chronic medical concerns that I have. She also criticized me for one of my specialists being at Northwestern Hospital, instead of Advocate Illinois Masonic. She is incredibly rude and tells me that I should not be in pain or feeling ill, and to get it together. Her staff (front desk and nurse practitioner) are very nice, but after my last appointment I will not be seeing her again.
