Dr. Lee A Mancini

Yelled at me before addressing my concerns about getting an x-ray. This was before he even discussed my issue with me. Guess what after the x-ray, he was nice. No thank you. I am your client. Be nice. Never again. This guy is a joke.

Chest shoulder pain

He told me he couldn't do surgery on my ankle, and it was OK because "you're not an athlete, so it doesn't matter if you walk with a limp for the rest of your life. " Thank goodness I got a referral to a surgeon who cared right after. Now I can walk, run, and partake in other physical activities.

I arrived with a fully ruptured achillies at his office. He told me it was too late to operate and that it didn't matter anyway because I was not an athlete, and it did not matter if I walked with a limp for the rest of my life. I saw a foot ankle specialist later that week. After surgery and recovery I can not only walk and run, but also partake in sports no thanks to him.

I have seen Dr. Mancini multiple times as my children are both athletes. He has always been courteous and knowledgeable. On occasion I’ve had to wait longer than usual but that seems to happen with any doctor.

I am giving this doctor and his office an F! I don't know the quality of the doctor as I waited an hour after my scheduled new patient appointment and finally left. My time is just as important as theirs and I will not waste any more time with this doctor or his office. Patients came well after me and were admitted to the rooms while I just waited. Horrendous, doesnt give you the time of day. Has you deal mostly with his med students who give you the eval. He then comes in for 30 seconds and then walks out giving no time for question. Staff at the front is rude as well no surprise there seems to be the norm at Umass. Got second opinion from a Relient surgeon and had torn meniscus which wen t undiagnosed with Dr. Mancini. After 5 months wasted in pain finally got relief. Stay away from this clown.

I broke my ankle and it was a trimalleolar fracture. We went to the emergency and they put a cast. In 2 days we got an appointment with Dr. Lee A Mancini and they (along with 2 assistants) looked at the original fracture X-rays. They discussed and talked about the fracture type, my pain level, swelling, etc. All looks good and see a surgeon after 2 weeks to decide whether a surgery is required based on your healing. We got an appointment with the surgeon next door in the same office and the surgeon didn't take new Xrays. He looked at the old original Xray and said we have to do the surgery as early as possible. He was questioning us why you waited for so long to see a surgeon. We were not sure so went to another Surgeon and showed the X-ray and he said and it can't be fixed without surgery. So we went with the new Dr. out of the UMass Memorial and we lost confidence with them. They have to break the wrongly healed bones and did the surgery. We went through the pain unnecessarily for the initial 2 weeks and bones healed in the wrong position and post-surgery we have to go through additional pain because of the additional breaking. I don't recommend this Dr. and for some reason, you have to go please do research and verify his treatment. Just don't go by what he says. It was an extremely painful experience and we are still going through the pain.

I was going from Dr. to Dr. But once I met Dr. Mancini, I felt soo Blessed! He's A Great Dr., A People Person, Most Importantly He Listens!!

Dr Mancini is a very capable and caring Doctor. I feel very lucky to have him as one of my doctors. He has helped me tremendously..
