Dr Fleming is kind and personable, but my surgery went horribly. After removing the cast at my post-op appointment, my foot was already infected. It wasn’t treated aggressively enough twice and may now be a lingering bone infection. One night, I spent nearly 12 hours in the ER to receive intravenous antibiotics after the infection flared. The bunionectomy also failed. My big toe is turned in much worse than before the surgery. Two of my toes became so dislocated that the bones overlapped. That created pressure ulcers which became holes in the ball of my foot for months. My foot is disfigured, and my friends call me “Frankenfoot”. I was exceptionally active, and this was a huge blow to my lifestyle. Years prior, I had spent 6 years in a wheelchair and fought my way out of it. Now this happened. The surgery was everything I desperately feared. When I confronted Dr Fleming about how poorly it went, he didn’t seem to understand what he had done, or its impact to my life.

He is a wonderful doctor and very personable!

The doctor visit was fine, however, he gave me a prescription, but the office didn't fax it to the pharmacy. I called twice, I sent an email through their portal, but no one replied. I did call and speak to someone today. They asked, would you like for me to fax it to the pharmacy or call them? This was a span of 8 days. Totally unacceptable to wait 8 days for a refill on a prescription. I'm changing doctors.
