I would give no stars if I could due to the unprofessionalism experienced from the supposed office manager when calling for an appointment. He stated his name was Dennis Canlas but I doubt that is right. I decided to schedule with a provider from UAB due to my experience with this person.

Does not return phone calls to set up an appointment for medicine refills. Furthermore, will not refill prescriptions when needed... mind you, prescriptions for a child with CP and is autistic who needs his medicine for seizures, sleep, and overall well-being. Once, when we finally had a refill called I , it was for the WRONG medicine...This is the most appalling “doctor” that we have ever encountered (we have seen A LOT of doctors). Dr. Sanchez and her office staff have been extremely helpful making appointments, having a correct diagnosis, responding to telephone calls, and making follow-up appointments. We appreciate her thoroughness and efficiency.

I don’t know what the other people leaving bad reviews are talking about. We had a 1030 appointment and were brought back by 1040 and saw the doctor by 1050. Both the nurse and Dr Sanchez were great and very patient our two year old, not to mention we were toting along our 3mo old. We have been going to see Dr. Sanchez for years, and we always had to wait anywhere from 45 minutes to two-and-a-half hours past our appointment time to see her. Today we had an appointment that had been scheduled for six months, and yesterday her staff rescheduled it for four hours earlier today without telling us. They say that they called a number that is one digit different from mine, but no one knew. And then her front desk guy hung up on me when I told him this was unacceptable. In all honesty, Dr. Sanchez may be a competent doctor, but when the practice is as mismanaged as hers, it makes you wonder about the quality of care. Go somewhere else if at all possible. Get a referral to Children's in Birmingham, or I hear there is a pediatric neurologist in Columbus, GA. It's worth the extra time in the car to have a doctor who won't waste your time.

Every time we have been to this dr office we wait 4 and 5 hours with 1 to 2 people in front of us or NO OTHER patients in the office! It’s so ridiculous! She herself is a decent dr and explains things well! But that doesn’t take 3 hours per patient!

Worst staff that you could possibly imagine. Do not use them. The receptionist argued with my Mom who is in her 70's and has Parkinson's. Got my Mom really upset and ended up my Mom was right and the receptionist was incorrect. My Mom is absolutely the sweetest person ever. We told them we will be finding a new Neurologist. Drove an hour and a half and my son wasn't scheduled nor was the Dr in that day. The guy at the front said that they haven't gotten a referral. Called my son's pediatrician to confirm that it was sent and the day and time of my appt. Tell me how I would have a date a time and not be on their schedule! Wait times are ridiculous. It seems as if they double or even triple book appointments forcing extremely long waits. An hour in the waiting room and an hour in the back before being seen is ridiculous. I wish there were more options in Montgomery for pediatric neurologists. ????

My 2 year old grandson was sent to Dr. Sanchez because of delayed speech. During the exam she throws out the suggestion that he may have epilepsy and sends him to have an EEG. After he was put through this very traumatic experience, there was no word from her office for almost 2 weeks. After several phone calls by my daughter, the person answering the phone says the test was normal. When asked why there was no call from them, she was told the results were given to the nurse who never called. A very unprofessional, incompetent office. Ridiculous wait times. Front staff unprofessional...

DR. LEAH SANCHEZ????????? DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO VERY UPSET NOW... ALL I WILL SAY IS IF YOU HAVE A LOVE ONE GOING THERE FIND AT LEAST ONE MORE DOCTOR TO COMPARE YOUR EXPERIENCE TO. I WILL NEVER RETURN. IF YOU HAVE TO TRAVEL IT IS WORTH IT.

Dr. Sanchez was professional, patient and thorough. She answered my entire battery of questions. She seemed genuinely concerned for my son and getting him on a regimen to combat his migraines. She is a tough cookie and will tell you like it is whether you like it or not. I was guilty of a few things that may have contributed to his migraines and she let me have it. I still appreciated it because it helped me to help my son combat the severeness of his headaches. Thanks Dr. Sanchez. Dr. Sanchez was professional, patient and thorough. I am an RN of 16 years and mom for 13 years. I am extremely picky with my physicians; especially my children's physicians. Dr. Sanchez is a highly knowledgeable physician and she really takes the time out to listen to your problems and discusses treatments in depth. She is very thorough and thinks outside the box which is extremely rare these days in the medical field. I would recommend her to anyone searching for a pediatric neurologist. She has helped my daughter's migraines since she was 3.

Dr.sanchez front office secretary is very unprofessional , she sits right up front and wears glasses , she was offended when I asked why Dr. Sanchez's staff did not call me when my appointment for my infant son was canceled by their office, she laughed at me when I needed a special eeg appointment for my infant son and till this date they still have not gotten back to me with an eeg appointment it is a severe injustice that this Dr is the only choice for patients in Montgomery. She is an ok physician however her bedside manner could use a refresher course. She could listen to her patients/parents more, after all who does she think has spent their entire lives with them. Her staff is beyond help everyone i have ever dealt with in her office was SUPER uncaring, showed next to no compassion and was extremely rude. That says a lot to me that they have been allowed to remain employed and their attitudes reremain unchainged. It also says a lot about her as a supervisor.
