I wish I could give this man zero stars. He left me in tears today at my 20 week perinatal appointment. I had a very nice and helpful ultrasound technician who took scans of my baby. She told me the doctor would review them and come talk to me shortly, do some more scans and would be able answer my questions. I have a hematoma so I was planning on asking him what it was measuring. I waited for what felt like forever for him to come back into the room. He cracked the door open, didn’t even bother to fully enter the room, told me I had placenta previa, that he needed to see me again, and that the front desk would call me later because right now was “lunchtime”. I said “okay, I have a quest-“ before I could even finish my sentence he slammed the door in my face. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a doctor’s office. When we came in this morning on Nov. 3rd, we were very excited to be finding out the sex of our soon to be. The sonogram Tiffany was wonderful, she spent a good time trying to find the sex but wasn't able to. Once Dr. Shields came in, he checked the brain and heart. When it came time to see the sex he spent no longer than 3 min trying to find it. He then said he assumes it's a girl and said to shop with confidence and to save our receipts and walked out of the room leaving us very confused.
I have had dr shields as my dr for both pregnancies and he is an amazing dr, would use him again

Dr Shields is very nice and really listens to you. He works with you to find the best route of care for a healthy pregnancy. His staff is very nice and helpful as well.
