He appeared to be very empathetic and understanding of the situation my children and I were in, but that seems to be just an act, as things he directly told us were contradicted in his report. He seems to lack current training and knowledge of domestic abuse, which is critical to doing custody evaluations. He did not understand the term "coercive control" and that power and control are the basis of abusive relationships. A leading expert in domestic abuse and custody evaluations reported that his testing methods and recommendations were outdated and inappropriate. The judge agreed his recommendations were not in the best interest of the children. In my opinion, he does not understand domestic abuse, uses outdated testing methods and uses them for the wrong purpose. His recommendations were not accepted by the judge since they were not in the best interest of the children. It appeared that he ignored evidence and abuse that was reported to him.

Dr. Friedberg is always thorough and professional. He is a true advocate for families. I am always confident referring my clients to him for evaluations or therapeutic services.

Didn't like that I told him that I thought he was biased. In revenge, he told me he was fired while telling everyone else I quit. If he is unable to make contact with appropriate health care providers, he gives up without asking for help or letting you know there is an issue. Basically I believe he is past his ability to provide services and should consider retiring. John Davis

When you start having contempt for the people paying you (notice I didn't say patients), it's time to find a different job.

Not recommended! Particularly not recommended for family matters involving minor children. Despite having a PhD, he is unable to communicate in clear, simple terms when speaking with a child. He puts his self-interest before the needs of others, including children. A highly negative and costly experience!
