Dr. Lamont Joel Cardon

Doctor Cardon was great. His team were great too. I came in with painful thumb. His team looked at the x-ray results and did a new x-ray on me. Then they looked at the results together and helped me identify the root cause. They also scheduled me for a follow-up appointment to check the results of the treatment.

He operated on my broken wrist in 2019. He is a charismatic, energetic, and highly respected surgeon specializing in the hand and wrist. His office follows a policy of surgery as soon as possible after the injury happens and tis I think helped speed m recovery from a complex break. Dr. Cardon is the best in the area, and his office is enthusiastic and efficient and make you feel comfortable and well cared for. I was happy with every aspect of my experience.

Dr. Cardon listens well and gives his patients his full attention. I first "met" him on Zoom and felt like he patiently listened to my concerns. He asked me specific questions about the symptoms I have been experiencing and then explained what to observe to help more clearly define my diagnosis. Dr. Cardon consulted with me twice more before he performed carpal tunnel release surgery on my right arm. He has adapted to the necessary physically distant video appointment structure well, even showing me a short video clip at one point to clarify a procedure.

Dr. Cardon is amazing. He’s now surgically repaired both of my collarbone breaks, about 5 years apart from each other. The first one was during the competitive season of my sport while attending Cal. He was a recommendation from the sports therapists and he had me back in action within weeks. The second one was a couple months ago. The first thing I did when I got home from the hospital was call him, even though I live 45 minutes away now. Got in for surgery the next morning. Dr Carson has been a wonderful hand surgeon for me this year. He allowed me to have my 90 minute complex surgery with no anesthesia nor sedation, Just a nerve block for my right arm/hand. We discussed the surgery he would do for my basal thumb arthritis that had been hurting for 25 years, getting worse year by year. I had occasional cortisone injections by other hand orthopedists for a couple of years until they did not help. Because I have a connective tissue disorder that had affected several other types if surgery, Dr Cardon knew what to do to assure this hand repair will hold for life. Surgery done without anesthesia on January 24th, 2019. Success all around!! He says I am healing remarkably fast. I graduated from cast to long splint, to short splint and hand therapy a couple of weeks ago. The hand therapy is hard work yet therapist says I will be through quicker than the usual six weeks. I am so deeply grateful to Dr Carson for providing me a way to have a fully functional hand again, now with NO pain!! I have been able to play my piano again! And eventually ukulele, and cello too. I recently saw Dr. Cardon for a wrist injury. I broke my wrist in a fall and had ligament damage that would not heal. I have been very happy with the service of his office and the doctor knows his stuff. Being a chiropractor, my hands are my livelihood, so I would only trust them to the best.

I met Dr Cardon 15 years ago, following a botched carpel tunnel operation (not performed by Cardon). The infection was killing me A long line of doctors had drawn a blank. Dr Caron never gave up and eventually diagnosed me with a very rare bacterial infection. I required surgery on my hand, wrist, and elbow. Since then, Dr Cardon has also repaired both my rotator cuffs. I have just come back from swimming fifty laps. This guy is not only highly skilled, but a true doctor in every sense.

Kind and knowledgeable staff. Took time to explain prognosis and possible surgical outcomes depending on my recovery. Up to date medical equipment. Even though I haven't seen Dr. Cardon in 3 years, I was motivated to review him after stumbling upon Healthgrades.com because of what a great experience I had with him.

Immensely pleasant experience. Staff is friendly, active, responsive and seems responsible. Doctor Cardon, though young :) has a calm and confident attitude that makes you feel, well, comfortable. I'll have to return in a week for a follow up, so... we'll see. But, I feel confident it will be fine.
