Dr. Laila Hassan she is so unprofessional Rude, unbelievable Dr. My Mother was a patient of her and the next following year we went to follow up with Dr. Laila and she said to her staff she is not my patient. Immediately I change Dr. For my Mother. I will not recommend her at all.

She is incredibly rude and has a terrible bedside manner. I have been very sick, fatigue, shortness off breath, pain all over i.e. joints, spine, hips... I have swollen lymphnodes and there is concern that I may have slow onset lymphoma. I would tell her my symptoms and how bad I was feeling and she would always dismiss my complaints. I finally decided I had enough, when on the last appointment I had with her. I was feeling incredibly ill, lightheaded, dizzy, short of breath and compete fatigue. She came into the exam room and asked, "what's wrong now Mr Flores". That was 2 yrs ago. I have since been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and slow onset lymphoma. My spine has issues, from top to bottom...Cervical spine down to the lower lumbar. I do not recommend her at all. In my opinion she shouldn't even be practicing.

This doctor was a waste of my time. She dismissed my joint pain and swollen ankles. Dismissed my elevated liver enzymes. Dismissed my skin/hair/nail problems. Told me to lose weight. See a dermatologist for my skin because she thought it was probably rosacea then prescribed me painmeds for my joint pain. I later discovered the meds she prescribed me only contributed to an already failing liver. I will NEVER go back to this doctor again. She did absolutely nothing to help me and dismissed all of my symptoms, comparing them to her own and those of her housekeeper. I left her office feeling very defeated and sad. Unfortunately, Dr. Hassan was extremely rude and after being treated three times by her I finally had enough and haven’t been back. She likes to blame the patient a lot. I am someone who does everything in my power to help myself but she chastised me because I didn’t want to go on methotrexate which is a very harmful medication and the decision to go on it shouldn’t be taken lightly. She also insulted me in other ways as well. She’s very rude. I don’t mind a blunt doctor but there’s a difference between blunt and obnoxious. I will say her husband (who is in practice with her) is a nice doctor, however. Once she starts treating you she seems less interested in you , and if you question her methods or the treatment she pulls all your meds and drips you as a patient in the middle of treatment .

Laila is crazy, but she the BEST doctor. Perla is like an angel, she helps in EVERYTHING.

Dr. Laila Hassan is a very unusual doctor to deal with but I love her. She is very thorough and is always able to make me feel a little better. I would highly recommend.

I found Dr. Hassan to be very personable and thorough. She asked a lot of questions and listened to my answers which is hard to find these days. I strongly recommend her!

I appreciate the kind, helpful and smiley staff. Dr Hassan looked at all my records I brought with me, thorough questioning and exam. Still I’m disgmosis process. I saw the negative reviews...don’t understand them. Great experience. I travels 35 miles to see her. She is a clear communicator and dry sense of humor which I like!

i have been seeing Dr. Laila Hassan for almost 20 yrs. Her office does not do MRIs. She is busy so she doesnt chit chat but she knows her stuff. The lab work she requests tells what is going on in my body so she needs the lab work sent to her office before the visit. Her office doesnt call you with lab results she will tell when you have your office visit. Great doctor with a great bedside manners.

I was having a septic reaction in my joints but did not know why. She helped me with that and called a Gi dr for me. The last time I was in her office I gave them my new insurance. I did not know they were not in my network until I received a bill from them. The first thing they do is take your card and verify you have insurance but they can’t be bothered to tell you that you aren’t covered liked you think. At this time when I paid my co-pay I had a credit for over a year they didn’t tell me about and I didn’t have to pay the whole co-pay. They have to know you are out of network or why bother to take your card

I felt the need to write a review bc I was recently diagnosed by another rheumatologist with Ankylosing Spodylitis. I visited with this dr about 3 years ago and it was such an awful experience that I didn’t even go back to follow up with my results for the lab work. First, I waited in the waiting area for an hour and a half. Normally, being a new patient I would have been ok with this, but I had already seen the waiting room clear out twice(the waiting room was full both times) There are also signs all over the door stating that you will be charged if you are late. Oh and if you leave a message on the voice mail you will be charged. Anyways, as we’re in the room, my file was mixed up with another patients. She scolded her employee right in front of me. How uncomfortable! Anyways I never returned. I’m now 3 years past the time I should’ve started medication for my disease. i have recently come In contact with 2 other friends of mine that have had almost the same experience. It’s so discouraging when you are hurting and the lack of professionalism is completely gone. They too said they gave up when they had this experience. One of the very best! Really cares about you as a patient. Staff is quite efficient.

I've been Dr. Hassan's patient for nearly 23 years. Before choosing her, I had seen several top rheumatologists in the greater Houston area at the time. I chose Dr. Hassan because of her straight-forwardness, her concern for me whenever my illness caused issues after work hours, and her compassion. I love that she stays on top of the newest treatment options, but also recommends over the counter alternatives and life style changes (i.e., advice regarding use of alcohol, use of sun block, exercise and diet regimens, etc.) whenever she believes those alternatives can help me avoid taking more medication. Been seeing her for RA for about 6 years. Could not hardly get off the floor and painful to walk when I first saw her! She has changed my life with treatments. I worked until age of 72 all because of treatments allowed me to!

Unfortunately, this lady was rude and judgmental in her mannerisms with regards to my family member during her appointment and also seems to have an outdated understanding of medical management of the most common rheumatologic conditions.

Worsted doctor I have ever met. Rude, sarcastic and unprofessional. After removing fluid from my knee (which she chastised me for crying out in pain) and some other tests, I was escorted out of the office with no diagnosis or prognosis. Will never go to her again or recommend her to anyone.

I was told I was the worst kind of patient because I have more education and degrees than she does. I see now that if I had read these reviews first I would have never gone there. She refused to renew an old prescription for me for Methotrexate, saying my lab data that my PCP had ordered, which she had in her hand was more than 30 days old. Really???? it was about 35 days old. Soo, we got the fresh blood work done again, and after 10 days (I had the results after 5 days) I called and asked the office what was going on, no Rx, no appointment, no call, turns out she was the only RA doctor there and she took a vacation (actually it was family emergency) trip to India and they had no idea when she would be back, and had no way to write me a Rx with her gone. SERIOUSLY?????? NO wonder doctors get sued!!!! They had no back up plan for such emergencies. In my business world if you screw up like this, 10 government agencies descend on you like vultures in the desert finding fresh meat. Are there any responsible Rheumatologists, with well managed offices, back up RA doctors on the staff, that can see a patient this year (lol) before I die of old age????? I have been a patient of Dr Laila Hassan for many years. She and her husband have a very busy practice. Dr Laila can be very blunt, but she will always tell you the truth and will take good care of you. While I do have to wait on occasion for my appointment, I do not mind because i know when I am struggling with issues, she will spend that extra time with me to resolve issues. Kept insisting I didnt have an autoimmune disease and shipped me off to a variety of expensive specialists who all found nothing. My current rheum diagnosed me right away. She also scolded me like a child for having a piercing. Don't waste your time or money.

Absolutely not!! Very rude. Kept telling me to do things like take hot shower, take Co-Q10, stop taking my required cholesterol medication. She put in my records that I was non-compliant for not buying the Co-Q10 immediately! Wasted an entire year of my life before she FINALLY ordered a back x-ray and saw just how bad it was and exactly why I was in so much pain! This is the rudest doctor I've ever met. She was annoyed that I had not sent my lab results from my referring doctor, even though I had access to the results on my phone. (I had tried to contact them to fax the results the previous 3 days and left messages, but no one sent them.) Quotes: "I'm too old to read the lab results off your phone." "Looking at each result separately on your phone is wasting my time." "You will call your referring doctor's office and tell them to fax your results while you sit here." It seems that having records for patients is a continuous problem there. They should probably have a better system for obtaining them. This is the rudest doctor I've ever met. Dr. Laila has been a life saver for me. She has helped me treat my RA for years now and I am doing much better than when I first met her. She really knows what she's doing. I have never waited more than 10 minutes, and her staff are friendly and helpful.

I have tried 3 times to make an appt today. They group of about 3 different femAle laughing voices finally gave a date of Jan. 24th, but we're too busy laughing the roof off together to finish even getting me a date. I feel it was possibly because i am having to tape my feet as i told her in pain. No matter, i even asked twice , time please. Then she said third time, what, and i said never mind. Never saw any test results, no follow up, ordered a lot of unnecessary tests, re-did tests that my primary had completed the prior month but she did not utilize the results. Rude and inconsiderate, had to wait for over an hour at every appointment. I would not recommend her to anyone.
