I’ve been seeing Dr. Runnels for several years. I highly recommend him. He is very easy to talk to, down to earth, and cares about my well being. He is very knowledgeable about the medications, and takes the time to explain them and answer questions in a clear way. He explains his reasoning for the approach he is recommending, but he is also open to my preferences. I’ve been to other psychiatrists in the past, some were very good, some had limitations such as being pompous or not willing to explore options; but Dr. Runnels is the best I’ve seen. Dr Runnels medical license has been suspended sometime between 7/14/20 and 8/14/20. He is incompetent.

Dr. Runnels restored my faith in psychiatry. He’s very understanding, non-judgmental, and easy to talk to. He genuinely cares about a patient’s well-being and quality of life. I’d recommend him to anyone!

My first interaction was very good. I felt he was genuinely interested in my overall health and was very responsive. He engaged me and listened to what I had to say and offered some alternative treatment options that I believe will help in the long run.

Dr. Runnels is the least capable psychiatrist I’ve ever encountered. If you want a doctor who will consistently disregard the value of your time, then Dr. Runnels is your man. His indisputable inability to tell time (i.e., read a clock) and stick to a reasonable schedule is unbearably unprofessional. He lost his license to practice medicine and only recently regained said license. This is legal fact and the information contained therein is public record.

This doctor is the best I have ever met!

Concerning Hormone Replacement Therapy...Penalizing Dr Runnels for his approach to health has done a huge disservice to this community and Louisiana. I'm yet to find another doctor to help me, as he has. Optimizing my hormone levels helped me to feel 100% better in every aspect of my life, including my emotional and mental health. Now, I'm having to start completely over. I've since regained 30 pounds and feel like old crap again. Thanks a lot, Louisiana Medical. I will see a Dr, in Florida.
