Dr Shipman is incredible—she gets kids. My son was very anxious about the appointment. Dr Shipman was so kind and friendly and she had my son laughing before even examining him. After that introduction, the visit went smoothly—my son was even excited about the next steps. She explained everything clearly and in a way that my son could understand. Great medical office, too. The waiting room was calm with plenty of activities to distract and the front desk secretary as well as the nurses are all so warm and cheery. Dr Shipman is an outstanding surgeon and physician; I am so grateful for the care she provided my child. I highly recommend Dr Shipman and Rocky Mountain Pediatric Surgery.

Dr. Shipman is an amazing surgeon. She took such exceptional care of my son!

Dr Shipman was very fast to get to the hospital in the emergency and did an amazing job on repairing our daughter’s ruptured intestines surgery. She spent a lot of time after surgery reassuring us and walking us through what happened and what her hospital stay would look like during recovery fighting infection.

Dr. Shipman is amazing. She put me and my son at ease through the whole process of his surgery. She is a great pediatric surgeon and I highly recommend her.

Dr. Shipman was thorough, warm and took the time to really listen and answer my questions. When I did not understand something she was very courteous and respectful to explain it in a way I understood. Dr.Shipman was amazing. Since the first day my daughter had surgery, to the whole week and the last day we were there. She is also sow sweet! And really passionate about her job!

Dr. Shipman is one of the best doctors that has come into my sons life. She has performed many surgeries on him since the day he was born. She not only is an excellent surgeon, she is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She has been able to always answer any question I might have and help guide us in getting the best care for my son. Dr. Shipman operated on my son when he was two days old (and born 7 weeks early). She was compassionate and understanding as we worked to understand everything that was going on with his little system. Her follow-up appointments with us where equally as heartfelt and genuine. We are incredibly grateful for her presence during one of the most challenging times we have ever faced as a family as well as during a global pandemic.

Dr. Shipman knew my son’s peritoneal cavity so well. A pleasure to work with. Thanks for your PD catheter placements for him.

Dr. Shipman was great to work with on such short notice due to our situation. She fully explained everything and reassured us completely!

Dr. Shipman and her staff are always very professional and kind. We aren't ever kept waiting, even when we don't have an official appointment for an urgent situation. We absolutely recommend her!

Dr. Shipman and her office staff are so caring. My son loves heavy metal and skateboarding, Dr shipman always asks about what cool shows he’s seen or how’s the skateboarding going. It is amazing that she remembers his passions and talks to him about it in the appointments. He’s not just a patient to her but a friend. I love that, because it has made him and me so comfortable with seeing her.

Dr Shipman performed an emergency surgery on my 4 year old son on a weekend evening. We had spent all day in the ER and were exhausted. She was wonderful with my son and my husband and I. She took the time to thoroughly discuss his surgery and recovery with us, and made us feel informed and calm. She was just a joy to work with!

We saw Dr. Shipman for our 4-year old daughter's umbilical hernia and were so pleased! Dr. Shipman engaged our daughter in the conversation and didn't make her feel like an outsider in her own care. While there, Dr. Shipman also noticed a small hiatal hernia that hadn't been diagnosed before. Now that she is 6, my daughter honestly has only good memories about her surgery and refers to Dr. Shipman as "my friend Dr. Shipman."
