Very patient, caring and good with small children. We’ve seen her twice and would continue to go back.

Great experience with my 6m old!

Everything was wonderful! Staff very friendly, and Dr. Hook was amazing!

Dr. Hook and her staff were wonderful with my nervous five year old. If you have a child with a skin issue in the Twin Cities you should for sure go see her.

Dr. Hook is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable in her profession and has a wonderful bedside manner. She is kind and does wonderful with children. Highly recommend!

We love Dr. Hook! She is wonderful with our toddlers eczema, so calm & soft spoken. She is very knowledgeable and always helpful, we feel very confident & comfortable in her care.

Dr. Hook was extremely patient and thorough with our 7 year old. He felt very at ease the moment she walked into the room, and was very nervous leading up to it! After the appointment, he said she was his new favorite and wanted to see her every time he needed to go to the doctor! As a mom, I also had a great experience and would recommend to anybody seeking a pediatric derm. Extremely knowledgeable and we left with all the answers we needed with new meds and new OTC remedies as well as soap / moisturizer recommendations for our sensitive boys. Very pleasant staff and helpful love the Dr everything was explain well

Brought my 5 year old daughter to have a wart on her elbow removed. Dr. Hook was so great and the wart is gone! I previously brought her into two other places that weren’t successful. Highly recommend!

Dr. Hook was helpful and willing to listen to try to help us figure out the best solution

Dr Hook has been seeing my son since 2017 at Fairview. If it wasn’t for her my son would of never cleared most of his eczema up. He still has flare ups, but he’s 90 percent better.

Dr Hook is excellent with my kids! She knows her stuff and makes things easy for kids to understand how to take care of their skin. I would highly recommend her!

Dr Hook is very kind and informative. Due to COVID-19, we had an online tele-health appointment. The software was very user friendly. The appointment was very educational! She answered all of our questions and her recommended treatment plan is working great! We will continue to see Dr Hook for our kiddos dermatology needs for sure!

Dr. Hook was AMAZING with my children. She was knowledgeable of their current issue, aware of past history, and in tune to current issues that I hadn’t yet brought up/been aware of (i.e. on the spot, she deciphered some more skin issues). Today was our first time meeting Dr. Hook. I came in with my 2 year old. She was so patient and understanding with him as he is very busy all the time. She explained everything thoroughly and then completed the procedure right there while keeping my son calm the whole time! He walked out of the office with a smile on his face and so did I. I took my 4 years old son to Dermatology specialists at Edina for his rashes 3 days ago, everything was great. Doctor Hook was so knowledgeable and kind. My son's skin is getting better after couple days of using his creams that Doctor Hook prescript for him .

Dr Hook is hands down the best pediatric dermatologist we have ever been to.

Warm and professional. Takes time answering questions as well.

Dr Hook was delightful with my daughter. We had to wait about 25 minutes to get into a room and were told we were “up next” only to watch multiple people come after us and get roomed before us.

I brought my son to see Dr. Hook at Derm Specialists and it was a very positive experience

Dr. Hook was great, took her time explaining things and took care of the issue right away, no need to schedule another appointment. We’ll definitely see her again and recommend her to others.

Took time to listen to concerns and made sure to address each one. Made sure to talk to the patient and my other children, very friendly with them. Very thorough and didn’t rush. Knowledgeable and explained information in ways that were easy to understand. Highly recommend.

After 8 months of seeing various doctors and pediatric demonologists through Park Nicollett, this is the only practice that offered different treatments, advice, and that I felt listened to my concerns about the horrible case of Mollescum that my baby had caught. Other doctors and dermatologists said it will go away on its own after 6 months to 4 years. They told me there wasn’t much I could do to prevent my baby giving it to his sibling or other children in our lives beside always covering him in long sleeves or bandages, while it continued to spread all over his body. Dr. Hook gave us treatments our first visit and offered several modes of action. She is very knowledgeable and was extremely gentle and warm with my baby. I highly recommend seeing her for any pediatric dermatology needs, especially Mollescum. Dr. Hook and her nurse provided the kindest most professional healthcare we have received. Dr. Hook is the absolute best! My daughter is very nervous to talk or deal with her Alopecia but Dr. Hook puts her right at ease! We would highly recommend her to anyone dealing with Alopecia!!

We were struggling with dry skin and acne for my 14 year old daughter and tried other over the counter products that weren’t working. My daughter was apprehensive about going in but Dr Hook helped very calmly talk through options and took her acne very seriously. We had a great experience!

My 14 year old daughter has seen 5 dermatologists over the years and is very squeamish. Dr. Hook had an extraordinarily soothing energy and my daughter literally felt no pain in the mole removal process. I’ve known/treated with numerous (guessing 8) dermatologists in 3 different states over my lifetime and all pale in comparison to Dr. Hook with regard to thoroughness and the ability to makes patients comfortable. I have never had such confidence in a derm. My 3 daughters will be under Dr, Hook’s care moving forward for mole checks and any skin related issues. I am soooooooooo very grateful we stumbled across this skilled and caring doctor!!!!

Best Pedatric dermatologist around. She has great bedside manner, very compassionate and so understanding. To top it off she hands down has the most knowledge and experience in rare skin disorders.

My son was born with Hashimoto Pritzker disease and dr hook has been his doctor since birth. She's very caring, will be seeing her for 10+ more years. Excellent doctor!
