I was transferred from another hospital to Portland for emergency spine surgery. Prior to surgery Dr Barth visited me in the ER and thoroughly explained the surgery I was about to have. I have just had my 5th surgery with Dr Barth. 3 for my back and 2 for my neck. The talent and bedside manner of this man continues to amaze me! I wouldn’t trust anyone else the way I trust him. He has never let me down and has helped give me my life back in so many ways. I would highly recommend him!

Dr Barth has done 5 surgeries for me and I wouldn’t use any other surgeon! He’s very skilled at what he does and is just a genuine, caring man. He will not perform surgery unless necessary and does a great job explaining the reasons for surgery and this risks.

Dr Barth completed a cervical spine surgery at C-3 C4 level in March 2018. He changed my life!!! He is a reassuring, confident caring person and for me, the absolute best surgeon from south of Boston to Portland Maine. A first opinion of my spine at the Lahey Clinic concluded that I was not a candidate for a mobi-c, which is a prosthetic disk. I didn’t stop looking. I had a C-5 C6 fusion in 2002. I was certain I didn’t want another which is what I was told was my only option. I found Dr Barth. Following a review of my MRI, he told me I was a good candidate. The surgery was “text book” according to Dr Barth. Now, 16 months later, my neck is still 100%! Thank you Dr Barth!

Best Dr to go to! Feeling 95% better after the surgery!

He operated on my mother in law. He was professional, kind, informative and extremely talented.

Dr. Konrad Barth operated on my spine 16 years ago. Great compassionate, caring and talented doctor. He most definitely saved my life!!! I thought my life was over, l’m doing things now that I thought would never be possible. Thanks Konrad!!!

Dr. Barth is caring, empathic, respectful and a great surgeon. He listens as well as carefully explains what your condition is and the treatment he is recommending.

Nice fellow. Opted for least invasive surgery. Surgery resulted in recurrence of problem as spine settled into new, problematic position. Office staff kept putting me off for review with doctor for seven months. So, went elsewhere finally for diagnosis of problem caused by surgery. Now I have to go in every six months or so for radiographic frequency ablations...painful.

Four of my family members have had spine surgery by Dr Barth...our hero! I cannot even begin to tell you how we all hold him in such high regard. Professional, kind,caring, and an excellent surgeon...we are all extremely happy with the outcome of our surgeries. (One of my family members had already had the same surgery with a different surgeon and local hospital...was still in severe pain and was told there was nothing they could do...saw Dr Barth, had surgery and is fine now!). The best!!!!

Dr. Barth and his team are awesome, they were so personable and professional with my daughter we felt so comfortable every time we saw them.

I have had 3 spinal surgeries with Dr. Barth, 2 of which were fusions. I already have and will continue to recommend Dr. Barth to my friends, etc. He is warm, kind, listens, asks questions and listens to the answers. He is very thorough in his exam and makes sure we are on the same page as to where the pain is and is not. He covers every aspect and makes sure he is understanding you correctly. The end result has been that the pre-op pain is gone. I am still healing from the operative site.

A very professional gentleman. My second spine surgery with him and I have recommended a coworker to him. If I have any other needs in the future I will be calling him.

After exhausting all other options to cope with symptoms of spondylolisthesis (L5/S1), including physical therapy, steroid therapy (injection and oral), chiropractic manipulation, and minimaly invasive decompression surgery, I was referred to Dr. Konrad (Max) Barth for spinal fusion surgery. At three months after surgery I have virtually no symptoms. I was impressed by every aspect of my treatment at Neuro and Spine, including my pre-surgery consultation with Dr. Buxton, who was the gatekeeper

Dr Barth performed my lower back surgery 16 years ago. Now at age 64 , I am still pain free with no complications. I also remember being able to return to work as an auto mechanic very soon after the surgery.

Incredibly talented and competent. Listens well and explains very, very clearly!
