Dr. Kimberly Crawford Berni

Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience with doctor Berni. She did not address my primary concerns, and I felt that she did not take me seriously or want to listen to me. I also feel that she neglected to look at my medical record, which was available to her. For example, I specifically stated that I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and that is also indicated in my medical chart. Her notes state that I have hyperthyroidism, along with a few other inaccuracies. I will give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was having a bad day, but I will not be returning to her office.

Dr Berni was attentive and helpful. She followed me closely for post care treatment, after an unexpected medical event that landed me in the hospital very sick. She took it seriously and didn’t minimize my symptoms.

Very dismissive, had my chart in her hands and still came in asking if I've been tested for diabetes.. MA'AM I AM A TYPE 2 DIABETIC. then felt on my abdomen when she got to my bladder area I almost jumped off the table and she still told me she didn't think anything was wrong with me and to Make "behavioral changes " and asked if I was looking for a PILL. Mind you I work for a doctor if i wanted a PILL I could get it I wanted a definitive dx. NEVER AGAIN

Horrible bed side manner, acts like you are making up how much pain you are in, and shouldn’t be practicing medicine since she clearly dislikes it!

Went to her office first part of December 2021 thought had kidney stone looked at my X ray said no did more test in her office. Did a procidure on me was given no medication told go home. Following Sunday night had friends come over take to hospital. Was in hospital little over a week was told had bad kidney infection . Go see my primary Dr this Wednesday morning 3 month follow up. If you did not know in state of MO impossible sue a Dr over there mistakes but can contact MO Medical Board . are contact a news station see if they will help you ? Went to her office on Tuesday she did a procedure on me was told go home I was not given any medications are special instructions when left her office except follow up in few months following Sunday night was admitted to St Joseph ER. the attending Dr informed me I had small white thing floating in my stomach ? I was in the hospital a little over a week before being released . I called her office when was in hospital was told to talk to my admitting primary DR by her nurse ?

I really like Dr. Berni as she is a very good doctor. She has an excellent staff!

Very bad. The doctor called me back saying I should use a another doctor, not her, because I have MS. This is discrimination.

This doctor was very dismissive and basically blew me off. The nurses were friendly though.

I have always had a great experience with Dr. Berni. She is always compassionate and very patient and understanding, and able to explains things clearly ????

highly recommend Dr Berni. She performed a bladder sling operation on me 3 yrs ago and it changed my life!

Dr Kimberly Berne and her wonderful staff will always have a special place in my life. They literaly saved my life in treating my Kidney Cancer. She is kind and caring and her surgery nurse conveyed so much comfort before surgery. Post-op care was top notch. I was so blessed to have her treat me.

Took my adult daughter with cerebellar ataxia to see Dr. Berni for a consult about a urinary tract problem. During the patient history this supposed specialist in urology didn't believe me. She insisted that my daughter had to have ataxia from an injury. "Ataxia doesn't just happen. " She wouldn't even listen when I explained that there is such a thing as hereditary ataxia. There is a National Ataxia Association and my daughter has received care by neurologists since a year old. She is in her early 20s. Before the physical exam I requested that Doctor Berni explain what to expect. She rolled her eyes. Spoke to my daughter in medical terms she didn't understand. This frightened my daughter, and she asked me not to go back Berni diagnosis was my daughter drank to much soda. What do you expect from someone who won't even listen or read medical records during a patient history? The basic skill of any first year nursing student or med student. Dr. Berni is a waste of time and money.

Terrible provider. Horrible desk staff. Cannot get in to make an appointment for 3 weeks but refuses to extend medication I been taking for 2 years until after available appointment. Staff is not helpful or caring.

Was examined for a UTI — Dr. Said it “appeared” there wasn’t one but would prescribe meds that would relieve the discomfort. Was told that the Dr. forwarded all scripts to the pharmacies after the Drs. office closes at 5:00 pm. Checked with the chosen pharmacy at 7:30 pm and they had no record of any scripts from that doctor. I guess I’ll just have to suffer until this can be resolved.

I would not reccomend this urologist, she has horrible bed side manners and unless your problem is obvious she is not going to look into it or give it any real thought. I've been struggling with pelvic pain that started over 6 months ago she has yet to help me with a diagnosis. I saw her for a second time and itll be my last. If you want any relief from your problems you will have to do the heavy lifting yourself and researching what can help you. Unethical practice! Neither her or her nurse care if they cause you pain. They will operate on you then refuse to see you when you call to inform them the pain medication isn't working. I was told that a "simple procedure" would be relatively painless, instead I was writhing in pain. Thankfully I had already taken some pain medication or I'd have been in massive amounts of pain for hours afterwards. When I talked to the doctor about not being able to see her even though I was in a lot of pain, she didn't care. She made it very clear that I was being difficult and she wouldn't listen to what I had to say. I'm surprised that she's still allowed to practice medicine. Always very concerned about my urinary problems. And has solutions

Unethical practice! Neither the doctor nor her nurse care if you're in pain. I called regarding extreme pain due to kidney stone surgery and they refused to see me for a week. I had to insist and remind them that not seeing me sooner would be unethical before they would reschedule.

My husband had surgery to remove a kidney stone on Friday and he's still in a great amount of pain. He has been calling the office since 9 a.m. on Monday (probably 6 times total) and nobody answered any time he has called. He has had to leave messages and they have not been returned. What kind of Dr. office doesn't answer the phone during business hours?! There could legitimately be something wrong but he wouldn't know because they won't answer the phone or even have the decency to call him back! Very unhappy

I am an existing patient, but since I hadn’t been seen recently, I was treated as a new patient and had to wait 2 months for a urinary tract infection appt. Luckily I found another doctor to treat me. Every time I see them I receive the same arrogant attitude from Dr. and front desk staff. She disagrees with me when I share an experience, and tells me how it probably went down instead.

I went to her for several years about 7 years a long time. She would get really moody and raise her voice at customers and to me! Office staff super friendly. Dr Bernie explained to me in detail with pictures of how the procedure was going to go. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a urologist!

I called to make an appointment with a urinary tract infection that my own doctor was not able to clear up and who had referred me. They had no appointments open for the next 4 months, told me to call someone else and literally hung up on me.

Dr. Berni is nice and takes her time but her nurse is rude and does not trust what you tell her about your body. She relies on UA and imaging results that are/were 6 months old (which are easily outdated with kidney issues). It is incredibly frustrating.

NEW PATIENTS BEWARE. Limited appts. to new patients, Took a month to get an appt with of a cancellation. An hour before the appointment, received call that our appt. had to be moved due to a medical emergency in surgery (which is perfectly understandable). Our options were: 1) Come in anyway - long wait and no guarantee to be seen. 2) Come in 3 days later (conflicts with previously scheduled appt. and daughters finals and leaving town). Or 3) Come in in late February. No real effort to fix.
